Another line of storms w/ tornado warning in Grundy County.

That's scary. 13 is doing a very good job of keeping everyone updated right now.

Doolittle, this is right up in your neck of the woods, everything OK?

Yeah, we just got back from Iowa City.  It doesn't appear anything in the La Porte area took any damage.  I'll get the tv on now to see if what's in Grundy Center is heading our way now.

We hope and pray for no more injuries and the rebuilding can begin right away.  We always seem to come together in times of need so I am sure people will be helping Parkersburg and New Hartford and the other areas soon.

Not much new info out of the W'loo market so I will sign off.

On the eve of Memorial Day a THANK YOU for those who have or are serving in the military.

And our prayers are with those who have suffered loss this afternoon. From Parkersburg to Dubuque.

The video on 13 just made me sick to my stomach. My wife's family was down here with us for a graduation when it hit and my family was in extreme NE Iowa. Both our families live far enough out in the country that the homes are fine.

Good to hear Walston.  Said a prayer for you and your families that all would be ok.  I am sorry to hear about the loss of life.  Prayers go out to the families.

WH glad to hear that all your family is safe and sound.

I hope everyone else is safe and sound as well.

Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all of our people serving in the armed services.

Walston:  Glad to hear all your clan is safe.  I'm sure it will be a gut wrenching time when they return home to share the grief of their neighbors and friends.  The storm must have blown right between the Warthog kid's houses.  Both report they are safe.

AEN:  Thanks for the updates.  I had trouble getting through to the boys and it was good to get info from somebody on the ground near ground zero

Our storm has arrived and we've moved to the familyroom in the basement.  Our new roof is half done I sure hope they got it closed up tight.  The thunder and lightning makes it look like the storm will be a doozy when it gets here.  Must sign off and get away from the windows.

The severe weather missed us by a couple of miles.I couldn't stop thinking of Parkersburg and prayed for those killed or injured hoping W-H's family was ok. I woke up this Memorial Day and realized I had a lot to be thankful for.

My thoughts and prayers also go out to those in Parkersburg and those who grew up there, it isn't the same home town anymore.  Walston, glad your family is safe and was out of the area when the storms hit.  Things could have been more deadly and I'm sure that the people of Parkersburg will learn just how wonderful people can really be when you are facing a time of need like this.  It's hard to think of the silver linings in the face of such destruction, but others really come through when it counts.

We live in Marshalltown now.  We got some rain but the skies to the North of us were very black.  Haven't heard of any damage yet.

Walston,

I saw on KWWL that  Justin Uhlenhopp's house was destroyed.  Is Travis Schipper's dad Dennis?
I saw their home was leveled as well.

anyone else I might know affected as badly as those two?  Where does Ed live?

We are so sorry for all our Iowa friends right now. We were horrified to hear about this tornado, and are thinking good thoughts for all of you.
