You're probably just a lot faster now.

I know what you guys are saying. I turned 27 on Sunday and now I find my self going to bed earlier, waking up earlier, Eating supper at 4:00, and eating lots of prunes  :'(

I go 10 years of playing football and never have one single trouble with my hamstrings.  Last summer, I pull a hammie playing beer league old man softball.  Did it again this year....how depressing.

I wouldn't say "faster"...I never really was "fast" before.  Those guys in the middle, we aren't as quick as those guards and tackles.  I'm no Jeff Vories.

not that softball is hard, but i also find myself more tired running around the bases then i used too (more probably because i work out about 10% as much as i used too, not because of age)

You're probably that prick that everyone hates that tries to stretch doubles into triples.
If you wouldn't run so fast you wouldn't get so tired.
Me? I'm perfectly content with going 1 base at a time.

All this talk about the "youngest," getting old, etc., got me thinking.

How many on here are the oldest of their siblings ... how many are the youngest ... and how many got stuck in the middle?

I am the oldest (66) of 3 brothers.

I prefer to just knock it over the fence and jog around the bases...unfortunately that usually means hitting it just shy of that and having the LF get an easy fly out.

DBQ1965...I am the youngest (25) of 3 brothers.  That's one thing I like about this board.  A wide variety of ages and experiences as well as a broad coverage of IIAC school fans.

I'm the oldest at 29, with a brother that is a couple years younger, and a sister that is 12. I plan on staying 29 forever, though, so you guys will all soon catch me if you haven't already. :)

As mentioned a few pages before, I'm the oldest of 4 boys.
I lived in the same suite of 8 guys for the last 3 years of college.
5 of us were the oldest in our families and not a single one of us had a sister. Pretty easy to get along when that is the case.

I am the oldest in my family.  I have a sister who is 18 months younger than I am.  It made for some very interesting times during high school.  She was not an athlete or the least bit interested in athletics.  She was only one grade lower than me as well.  My friends loved to talk to her in the hallways because she was so shy.  It made for some interesting rides home/fireworks when mom and dad got home from work.  Now we get along fine, but there were many year we hardly talked.

Getting older isn’t bad but at 32 I'm afraid that I'm starting to lose my marbles a little.  The other day I'm about 20 minutes into my morning commute and I look down at my passenger seat to grab my phone.  Much to my disgust I see that I unknowingly decided to take my TV remote control to work with me as well.

I snapped the photo below to document the beginning of the long decline of my mental health.

Oldest of two boys here.  I turned 25 a month ago Friday and my brother will turn 22 a month from Friday.

My parents both come from big families though.  My mom is the youngest of six kids and my dad is 7th out of nine and the youngest of the six boys.  Can you tell we're Irish Catholic?

DBQ1965, I am the youngest of 4 kids.  I have 3 older sisters 4, 6 and 8 years older than me.  I always figured my parents stopped after having me because my mom didn't want to risk having another boy!!!

That may be the post of the year!!! ;D
Bravo!
