Nice story about Chad Eisenman and his Central comeback.  But tell me ... does the picture of him on the D3football homepage look like his defensive play there was ripe for a pass interference call?

Tough to say from that angle as the ball looks like it has already gotten to the receiver so without seeing it in real time you can not say when the receiver touched the ball and he touched the receiver.

My wife just got home from taking our daughters to the eye doctor.  My 5 year old picked out purple glasses!!!  I don't know if that is an early indicator of what college she might choose though  ;D

We all know that Red glasses would be a lot nicer! :D :D :D :D

ShowMe -- welcome to the board!

How long ago did you play for the Rams?

Zero seasons

Meaning....you never played at Cornell, or you are a current player?

Never played and not planning to play for Cornell, just a fan!

There is not such thing as just a fan!!  ;D

Since i can't be just a fan, can I be a fanatic fan after Cornell wins their 1st conference game in September :)? Can I be an ecstatic fan if my conference champion dream come true? Can I be a pride fan enjoying the smell of eating crow if we get close? I  have to wait one play and one game at a time. Patience is painful, losing is painful, whay can't I be a fan after paying the price?

You just enjoy yourself Show Me.   :)

Post about our team in a positive way and show some respect to the fans of other teams..even Coe Fans...mixing in some good natured ribbing, given as well as taken, and you'll be fine.   8)

I like the color purple so take it easy on Cornell IIAC

ShowMe, I will let you be just a fan.  The two of us might be just about the only ones on here that aren't either a former player, cheerleader, parent, or employee of one of the IIAC schools!!!

And I like your enthusiasm!!!  Support your school and dream big...even if it isn't very likely!!!  Me being a Spartan fan I know where you are coming from!!!

You will have a lot of fun on this board.  Everyone supports their school and gives other supporters trouble.  But last year come playoff time you found just about everyone from the IIAC board rooting for Central to do well in the playoffs.  At the end of the day we all have fun on this board.

Tell me about supporting Central in the playoffs! I think I'm still getting karma stolen by angry Johnnies!

No way.  K battles are for game week only.  There are miscreant lurkers that have the time (lack of lives?) to spare pinging away for the rest of the year, but it ain't one of us.

You might want to start pushing her towards attending UNI or going out of state for college.  If she stays within the IIAC, you are basically looking at two possibilities:  On the one hand she could go to Cornell and is successful academically, but has absolutely no interest in football (or any other sports for that matter).  On the other hand, she could end up a Loras, where not only would she be rooting against your alma mater at every turn, but she'll also likely be lower on the intelligence scale and have a morally casual attitude.

Whoa Ive missed a lot, I guess thats what happens when you take a break since last Christmas! Oh well, let me have it for being gone during the offseason! I was off training ;) I love this time of year, the air at 7am reminds me of 2 a days, and so does unfortunately the unburdening humidity of 3pm!!

I suppose I could give a decent reason for being gone...non football banter isn't my usual specialty, we have too many other members on here who are quite more adept at random banter than I!

Good to be back, Ive missed a lot so Ill just jump right back in, don't be too harsh on me right away!!
30 IIAC Championships

Then explain snoop dawg's -342 karma

I figure snoop picks up about 3-5 k a week from the MIAC board but he still drops about 10 points in the same period.  Explaining his karma is a task best left to him, but if you're really looking for a reason then maybe OxyBob at the SCIAC board can point out the history what has built up a loyal base of karma baggers for snoop.

Oz is a good guy, I doubt it is you.  A few weeks ago I got on about this time at night.  Noticed DF2K4 had just posted on the Minny board and jumped over there to see what he had written.  I spent about 2 minutes on the Minny board and didn't post anything.  By the time I had read the posts on that board and jumped back to the Iowa board I was down 2K!!!  It made me laugh, I suppose us Iowa types aren't welcome up there  ;D ;D ;D  It's funny because when I first got on this board I would get worried if my karma dropped because I was worried I had offended someone and that made me feel bad.  ::)  Now I know it's just games and in the end this is only a message board, no big deal.

You know who it is?  It's those damned West Coasters, the low-life Gamorrah sympathizing crap-weasels.  They hate us Mid-Westerners because we work harder, are more successful, and yet remain very non-judgmental.

Petty jealousies.  That's what it is.

Oh no, I never considered the Loras option  :o

I better start working on her...of course in her defense, she really wanted pink glasses but my wife steered her towards purple.  And she has up to this point showed zero interest in sports.  Her older sister even less so.  Our oldest told me a few weeks ago that she might like a sport where you didn't have to run!!!  So maybe golf might be in their futures...but I doubt it...the bugs would probably bother them!!!

I have told my wife in the past that I would be happy with any IIAC school our kids might be interested in...but I really wouldn't want them to go to Loras...which probably isn't fair but just the way I feel.

Maybe you're on to something!!!

I'll have to sit down with a Fosters or maybe a Grain Belt or Hamms and give this some thought  ;D

Of course, living in Australia...wouldn't that make you the ultimate west coaster???  ;D
