Watching "Animal House" on AMC right now.  The Deltas just stole the test and are about to be placed on double secret probation.
"Do we have double secret probation sir?  I dont know but we do now!" or something like that.
On the issue of thinkin how the IIAC will end up this year here is my guess.  This year the IIAC will get 2 school into the playoffs.  The IIAC will show that they belong with the rest of the conferences in the nation.  Cornell will get its first conference win in a long time but i'm not sure who. Like my grandpa would say "Even a blind man can find his way home in a corn field after a while."  Never really understood what that meant when i was about 8 and he told me that.  Central Coe and Wartburg, 2 of the 3 will be in the playoffs with UDubb outside looking in.  Simpson will have a decent year.  Luther will have a fall back after losing Sherdan (Spelling?) who was a lot of their offense.  The others will fall into place with that.

Another thing.  If i'm not mistaken Coe has had to play Wartburg and Central back to back for the past 3 years.  That just sucks with how good those two have been that past few years.

"Even a blind man can find his way home in a corn field after a while."

The two phrases I always liked were "The shines on every dog's ass at least once" and "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while" (said famously by one of my college roommates when one of the other guys we lived with picked up a girl way out of his league at the Pour House one night).

I'm curious about Simpson.  It sounds like the new coach did a heck of a recruiting job this past winter.  Now we will see if he can produce a good team on the field.  And if he does produce a winner...

Does he build a dynasty to the detrimit of Central???

Or does he pull a Koehler and leave for a D2 position that becomes available???

Another question mark for me is Coe.  Raeburn was producing a winner there.  If Coe had backed that up with some great facilities and really got Cedar Rapids behind that team I think the Kohawks could have become the power in the conference.  Now you hear potential coaches turned Coe down because they weren't willing to pay well.  Which makes you think facilities improvements might not be a top priority either.  So for this season...

Does Staker keep the ball rolling and produce another good Coe team???

Is Staker setting the table for his son to take over???

Does Coe take a step back...inviting Dubuque or Simpson to overtake them in the conference pecking order???

Luther...always near the top of the conference for the all-sports trophy.  Also sponsor more sports that most schools.  Over-all have a good commitment to sports.  I'm just not sure the commitment is there for football?!?!

Will Durnin improve Luther???  Keep them the same???  Be the coach that sees the Norse slide closer to the bottom of the IIAC???

BV.  Has had some decent recruiting classes talent wise recently.  Their numbers have been small though.  Somewhat like Luther, BV is never a bad team, they just normally aren't challenging for a conference championship either.  Where do they go now???

Loras...will another dismal year on the gridiron turn the school even more towards becoming known as a basketball school???

I think Central and Wartburg keep their places among the conference elite.  I just have no idea where everybody else will fall into place.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules or took a few liberties with our female party guests -- we did.   ;)

Now, she should be decent looking, but we're willing to trade looks for a certain kind of morally casual attitude.
