Good Morning Everybody, Happy Friday !!!

Interesting article in the Gazette today. Cornell's wresting coach is going to the Olympics as head coach for the team from Guam. A team of 1, a female.

Any other conference ties or anyone going to the Olympics? If you could go what events would you want to attend?

As for the Animal House movie, "CUT THE CAKE" was used by those prankster from KWAR to identify themselves during their appearance in the Luther HC parade.
Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Yes August is here and the weather in Iowa is hot and humid... WH how are the camps going ?? the heat has to be tough however not as bad as when we where young right??  Now we can talk some football ..Camps will open soon and things will get interesting.. WH Dowling loaded again?? ;D ;D ;D

Walston Hoover

Weather for all the camps so far has been great. Central weather was even in the 70s on one of the days.
We'll compete this year. Lots of talent, but it is young talent so we'll see how that translates into w's.

Watching "Animal House" on AMC right now.  The Deltas just stole the test and are about to be placed on double secret probation.
"Do we have double secret probation sir?  I dont know but we do now!" or something like that.
On the issue of thinkin how the IIAC will end up this year here is my guess.  This year the IIAC will get 2 school into the playoffs.  The IIAC will show that they belong with the rest of the conferences in the nation.  Cornell will get its first conference win in a long time but i'm not sure who. Like my grandpa would say "Even a blind man can find his way home in a corn field after a while."  Never really understood what that meant when i was about 8 and he told me that.  Central Coe and Wartburg, 2 of the 3 will be in the playoffs with UDubb outside looking in.  Simpson will have a decent year.  Luther will have a fall back after losing Sherdan (Spelling?) who was a lot of their offense.  The others will fall into place with that.

that is a lot of optimism to say all that...
i believe that the IIAC will get one school in because of how even the schools seem talent wise this year.
UD will take a step back
Cornell will stay in neutral
Luther will take 2 steps back
Simpson replaces them
Loras is irrelevent (may knock off 1 of the top teams... UD?.. Coe?... it seems to happen every 2 years)
BV and Luther will fight it out
Wartburg v Central will set the tone for the Conference.
We will have to see how Coe does in the non-cons... but they should be good because of their D.

Nice work, SK -- I love that movie!

"See if you can guess what I am right now."
"I'm a zit, get it?"

"The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me. "

"Greg, honey, is it supposed to be this soft?"

Thank you sir, may I have another....  ;D

Looks like the weather will be really hot Sun, Mon, and Tues, for camp, but cooling off to only highs in the low 80s by the time official practice rolls around.

This sucks....I was all excited for today, had an easy day at work with a low-key conference meeting and then slide out of the office early to enjoy the afternoon.  However, I wake up to a performance issue with our system here at work.  What does that mean? I have to stay until it gets fixed.  Looks to be a long day at work!

Tell your wife that if it gets into the mid 90's with high humidity to just go ahead and go into labor.  Then you can get out of the hot stuff!!!

Good morning ladies and gentleman of the karma jury ;D

Thanks for the movie quotes.  It gave me a few early morning laughs.  I hate working Friday.  Mrs. Klop has a wedding this weekend and had a bug in her undies to get back to DM last night.  We rolled into town half past midnight.  Thankfully I can really work from anywhere but Id rather be sleeping then reviewing 10,000 emails and following up.  Happy first day of August.  The Cubs are in first place, football is about to start, and I will be able to drink a few whiskey drinks this weekend.  Life is good!

I'll drink to that. ICubs are in town tonight so I'm looking forward to catching my last game of this summer.
