There has to be a punter and a kicker at Cornell, tryout each student, girls too, until we find a punter to average 40 yards a kick and a kicker to make field goals inside the 30. .

5 IIAC punters in the last 5 years have averaged 40 yards/punt so if Cornell can find someone out of the blue to do that, consider me very impressed.

Have a little faith, wish us up some good luck.

I'll take a punter that can contribute the IIAC average punt.

NCAA should move Men's Soccer to the Spring or Winter so we can get some of those guys out to kick for the football team.

The Indiana football team has used players from their soccer team in the past.  Those guys played both sports at the same time.  That might be easier to pull off in the IIAC than in the Big Ten!!!

Well, that explains why no soccer kicker. Maybe we can get lucky this season.

I hear she has some interesting things to say about Notre Dame when you get some vodka in her.

All the more reason she should have something else to do with her mouth...once you get a few Vodkas in her.  :-X

Purple Heys, official dirty old man of IIAC message board.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Heys is not a dirty old man. He's not old at all. ;D

Cornell might find a few decent db's on the mens soccer field as well ;)

Good idea!

I will do the pick-ems whichever way you decide to do them.  Should we just give the title to Dutchie now???

To make it look fair, we really should go through the formality of playing the game all season. I did come in second last season to WH....I suppose someone had to steal the title of IIAC Pick 'Em Champ after the first 3 seasons.  :-*

(I've been working on my smack talk in the off-season -- how am I doing?) ;)

If Cornell is anything like BV, the soccer team is full of DBs.

My cousin that played at Simpson was in a frat with a bunch of other football players.  He told me one night a bunch of soccer players showed up and one guy was wearing at t-shirt that said "Soccer.  The Real Football."  He didn't last very long at that party.

We had a "journalist"--who happened to be an avid soccer fan and close friend of many soccer players--write a story deriding the football team in "The Tack."  He showed up at a post-football game party the following weekend and had almost a case of beer dumped over his head before he was cordially asked to leave.  This may have been the inspiration for the "100 Years of Meatheads" cartoon.

Apparently Central cheerleaders don't share the same values as those at BV.  They don't even need vodka.

THIS JUST - 2007 Cornell Men's soccer team went 0-7-1  in conference and 1-11-1 overall. Maybe FALL isn't their season.   ;) ;D ;D
