1-Sounds very much like me, but I'm guessing Klopenheimer
2-Dutchfan1- Has to be
3-Charlie Kohawk or coocooforcoekohawk last year when I announced Suckow would be transferring.

In reading old posts over the weekend, I jotted down three quotes that cracked me up. I'll give you the quote, you give me the author.

1- Short and unathletic is my middle name. Thank the NCAA for allowing cut blocking, or I would have had to been a kicker.

2- Can anyone explain a late October 6pm kickoff in Indianola? Other than Indianola looks better in dim light.

3- If his cousin transferred from Iowa to Wartburg would be the only way a Suckow would be wearing anything but crimson and gold.

I am very much offended that you view me as short and unathletic :D  Of course I am just kidding around.  I am just over 6' and yes unathletic would be a good way to describe me.  Or I like the saying "No one could do more with less".  I wish I could take credit for that statement, but it was not me.

Pre Training Camp Prediction – The conference pecking order will be different this year, the cream will rise to the top.  Get ready to for the truth, it won’t be pretty for those that see the status quo., it’s heartbreak time, get your popcorn ready!

Tell you what showme.  I'll get my popcorn ready for  when WB hangs a 40 spot & a W on you and you can get your skirt and pom poms ready for the cheers you will be leading. (no dis-respect DF1)

Why don't you provide some actual information that might be helpful as to why you will be worldbeaters this year other than you have "heart".  Or if you don't have any actual information, then make it up.

If you're a coach with a ".850" winning %, then you should know enough about football to make some legit posts as to why they will be so improved.  I'd much rather read about certain players returning or a stud freshman coming in, etc. rather than your cheers day after day.

If you have already posted this info I apologize but i don't keep up like I used to. If so, please direct me to the post.

Sincerely,

sorry man, the cream is all ready at the top.  you sound like nearly every other cornell supporter (except ash park and heys - the only 2 still here from last year).  your faith is getting a bit extreme... why don't you quiet down until atleast after the first game when they play a lousy grinnell team.  IF they win, you can comment on what things they did well/didnt do so well (the latter will probably be longer).  then, after each week, you can comment a little more, and after awhile, you better still be commenting (ala ash and heys) after the losses mount up (because they probably will).  camp has just started (or will within the next few days) and you're all ready sounding like cornell (or whatever bottom team) is going to be the next central/wartburg/coe and spout off consecutive winning seasons.  if they have success in the preseason, great - they should.  if they have success continuing after week three, i will be shocked.

Well said, Devine!

P.S. Why you gotta hate on the skirts and pom poms? ;)

Did ShowMe say it would be Cornell???

Maybe he meant UD or BV?!?!  ;D

I am kinda sorta hoping Cornell pulls the upset of Coe just to see him go off on this board  ;D ;D ;D

The Rams could get the upset that saturday but 2 conference wins is probably all they can ask for this year.

What are the odds ShowMe is PH having a good laugh at us???

caddy1

All of us really don't want this to happen to any team however, since we are all guessing finishes, etc.  Which team will sustain the most injuries and significantly change their season?  What players where injured last year that will impact the team this year?

Actually Brother ShowMe is just as entertaining to me...

I kinda like that blind faith, ignore reality, claim the team is a championship contender in spite of the facts...

Wait a minute, I got to riffing about Coe fans again.

:D

Wow.  Leave it to the former All-Conference D-Back to lay some smack down.  Well said.

Which team will sustain the most injuries and significantly change their season?

I'm guessing that if any of us could predict injuries with any accuracy, we'd have other occupations.

I know for a fact that if I could predict when injuries would happen, I'd have made sure to steer clear of the Anamosa tackle that laid into my knee a few years back.

Repeat...All IIAC fans are hereby notified.  I feel obligated to share this crucial piece of information before you confirm your preseason league standings.  (I am a team player)

The fuel for Cornell's upcoming surge in the IIAC standings arrives tomorrow in the form of mass quantities of Eddie's Carne Asada.

Tomorrow, Heys Jr. and friends will be feasting on a delicacy the likes of which have NEVER been seen in the fair state of Iowa.

It is an unfair advantage, I know...   ;D

So true...I never would have run Hitch Screen Left on that last play of practice... 1 obliterated ACL and resultant major surgery ended my playing days.
