ALka Seltzer makes a hangover cure pill right now. I've heard good things about it. Eating a good meal before I go to bed does wonders for me.

Here is a hypothetical for you.

There has been talk on here of posters from schools at the bottom end of the standings that join in the discussion here and then when their season goes into the tank these posters dissappear.

There has also been talk on here about the recruiting process and players choosing their school because they didn't want to play for a loser.

Now, every poster on here, regardless if they had a winning or losing football team, loved their time at their school and has great memories of their school.

We also note that the programs with the winning records have more posters on this site.

So, if suddenly Central and Wartburg and Coe became traditional 2-8 teams.  Would their fan base become a little more hands off???  Still love their school and team but start following them less and less as the years went on???  Go to fewer games...talk on here less???  Just curious.

As much as I love football if Central did go on the skids I don't think I would post less and I will not attend less games.  The only thing that will keep me away from games is distance or weather.  I don't think I will ever sit through another ice storm again.   ;D ;D

That sounds like you are thinking of moving the family out to Redlands.  You'll make the decision after visiting your son and hanging with PH and his famous Carne Asada!!!

I don't have to go to Redlands to watch good football.  Pella is a lot closer.  All of the IIAC schools are.  Nothing against Heys or Cali but I don't think I will ever move out there.  The three grandkids are here in Iowa and I don't (and the wife would not) want to leave and miss seeing them grow up.

Mulgrews chili dogs in East Dubuque at 3am seemed to help you not get that hangover in the first place.

One of my sisters told me when I was young that the best hangover cure was to drink it off...with alcohol!!!  I'm not sure I would take her advice though  ;D

Most people tend to have more interest in "winners".  It has been hard to watch the Central Women's BB team and the wrestling team in the past several years.  With recent coaching changes, I will confess to a greater degree of interest, especially with the wrestling program.  I think the new coach has the right tools to help turn the corner again.  Don't know what that means in the toughest DIII conference in the nation, but still...

Hope is a good thing!  Most especially because it doesn't have to rely on truth, facts or statistics to "spring eternal".

I am a Chicago Cubs and a Chicago Bears fan.  I still don't quiet down.  Looks like there is a chance that next year is this year.  But it's been 100 years of standing by a team that can't top the list.  As for the Bears,  I stand by them despite the fact that we will not win the Superbowl.  You can't when you don't try to improve your team in the off season or at the draft.

But a D3 team is different than an MLB and NFL team.  Like I said, with everything many of us have put into these teams and sacrifices fans have gone through to follow and watch the team I think people will stick around even if things do go south for awhile.
