As Wartburg Com Arts alumni, I hope you can use your influence to get webcast video of Wartburg Football.    ;D
If Wartburg is to remain a leader in the field of communication arts, it better embrace the technology and provide students the learning experience that comes with it.
Besides, I want to be able to watch the games I can't attend.   ;)

A new item will be added to the Warthog tailgate menu for 2008.  Our local Hy-Vee is now stocking Hub City Beer.  It seems only appropriate that a beverage brewed less than 50 miles from Walston Hoover Stadium should be part of game day festivities.

Just got back from dropping Senorita Heys off at Long Beach State.   :'(

Probably that it's just 60 or so miles up the freeway we kept the emotions relatively in check.  We'll at least get a chance to see her run Track later in the year.

Had me thinking back to the day Mrs. Heys called from her rental car after dropping Jr. in Mt. Vernon...she was blubbering into the phone...what are w-w-we doing?  We're l-l-eaving him all alone in the m-m-m-middle of the c-c-c-country...   :D

Attn:  IIAC AD's and School Admins.  Bring on video webcasting now, so I can see my oldest boy play more than once or twice a year.

First one to do that gets first IIAC crack at Rev. 3 when he graduates in 2012.

;)
I think Luther will webcast (video streaming?) it's home football games.  They did video wrestling and basketball last year.

Saw the scrimmage at UW-Platteville and it was run just like a game for the first 8-10 possessions.
Wartburg did NOT get a first down and looked completely overmatched on offense.  A few mistakes by the Wartburg defense gave UWP 2 touchdowns and field goal.  I realize Wartburg was probably trying to be basic so as not to show any thing in case St Norbert was attending, but they appear limited on offense as they lack a physical presence on the o-line and an average qb.  UWP might be a little better than people think.  They could win 5 to 6 games.

Hmm, so does this equal bad news for BV or bad news for Wartburg???

Or bad news for both or bad news for neither???

SLP-O-8

So what happened to the update on the BV scrimmage with Northwestern?  I was unable to go and havent heard much besides they played pretty decent but thats all
You have ONE advantage over me.....you can kiss my a$$ and I can't!!

DF04, Central got two second third quarter TD's and shut Auggie's offense down for no scoring.  Then they went to situation play and I left.  Couldn't take the heat anymore.  Must be getting too old.   :'(

Or good news for Central? :o :o :o  I was trying to downplay what Central had, but sounds like WB is downplaying their assets even more.   ;)  Hope they still look that way week one of the conference schedule!   ;D
