BV blew it in the 4th quarter.  They made it all the way down to the 1 yard line and could not close the deal to tie the game.  Frustrating day in Storm Lake.  They gave up 21 unanswered points in the second half.

Oh boy. Where is Showme? Someone better check on him. His team just lost to one of the worst teams in D3.

Oh man GC, tried to give us a chance, took the safety then gave us a chance to throw one up at the end to win.  Only problem, falls incomplete to end the game 26-25 Grinnell.

since WH didn't follow up with a final I thought I would

44-20 WB-
Yordi 313 yds w/ 4td's.. also threw a few picks I believe.  very nice way to start the season.

I didn't catch much of the 2nd half due to daddy daycare.  there were definitely plenty of big plays between both schools though.

just caught recent posts about BV and Cornell.  Frustrating pretty much sums it up for both.  hate to see both losing  games they should have won.  how did they not score from the 1?  penalty hurt them?

Although WB had a 1st & goal from the 2 and had to settle for a FG early in their game.

Frustrating would be a little bit of an understatement, but I guess we gotta roll with the punches sometimes.  Oh well, atleast Michigan won today, I'll check back in later to get everyone's recaps.

Terrell Owens was asked for one word to describe himself. He said "confident." When asked for another word he said "very."

Wow is all i can say about the game today.  We absolutely killed ourselves all day long.  Intreception than fumble it on the return.  We should have been given another touchdown as the refs were way out of position on the fumble out of the back of the endzone and nobody in the students was happy with the call cuz it was very clear the ground caused it.  I have a question.  Why the hell would you run a route on 4th down and goal that wasnt in the endzone seriously.  Got stopped one yard short after a reception to end the game make that route in the endzone and we are still playing ball.  Very disappointed here but hey the HAWKS won so cant be too upset.....GO HAWKS
You have ONE advantage over me.....you can kiss my a$$ and I can't!!

23-14 LC loses...totally different team in the 4th quarter then the first...fresh qb shows lots of promise in the 4th quarter...overall though...not looking to be a great season for the norse...lots to improve on in the by week...

Cornell can't even play the "at least we're smarter than them" card on Grinnell.

Good win for the Evil Empire but have some things to work on. With only 68yds rushing for the game alot of work did to be done in that area. I realize that St Norbert was putting 8 and 9 in the box but we need to improve alot in that area.

Well, for a team with only two returning starters on defense, Central played OUTSTANDING defense today.  Lakeland only made it into Central territory once, before being pushed back behind the 50 again.  Offense started out slow with Bandow getting the start at QB.  Snead got chances later on and looked terrific before going down with an ankle injury.  Was on crutches and in a boot after the game, not sure if it was x-rayed and is broken or if they just didn't want to take any chances.  Don't suppose a broken ankle can heal in two weeks, huh?   :'( :'( :'(  Bandow came back in strong after that, before going to nothing but up the middle running plays most of the second half.  3rd string QB moved to stinger position and was very impressive there, looked like he had been playing it forever.  His INT for a TD was a thing of beauty, then he almost did it again on Lakeland's next series.  Hope he doesn't need to go back to QB.  With Lackey moving to defense, Brandon Estabrook came in at QB and ran a really nice series resulting in a final touchdown with time running out.

Central looks to have reloaded very well.  The transfers from SEP made themselves known today.  Bandow and the center need to spend a lot of time practicing.  Bandow could have looked really good, but there were too many plays with the ball on the ground.  Have to clean that up.

Great shutout for a young defense.   Lots of points by the offense without trying in the second half and the defense scores as well.  Those of you who picked Viggers for best kicker know what you are doing.  He was 2-2 on FG and 5-5 on EP.  11 pts for Viggers today.  Keep that SEP pipeline open boys.

Heys, sorry that Iowa was not as welcoming as we had hoped for you.  Rough start for the rams.  Guess everyone on the pickem's missed that one right along with you.

Was pulling for BV today too.  Can't remember how I picked all my games, but those two I know I picked for the IIAC.   :'(

Sorry to hear about the loss to Grinnell.  Tough day for the IIAC.  Showme don't go away stay here for the season.  The Rams can pull it back together.  I am not taking a cheap shot here.  Just trting to encourage you.

Looks like Simpson beat GVC today 38-21.  Reutzl had 3 TD's.  I thought they might monkey stomp GVC, or maybe GVC is better than advertised.
