16-10 WB beg of 4th.   I really hope this doesn't come down to wb missing the extra point after their 1st TD.

SK, I have to leave and won't have access to internet, can you send me updates?

what's your #?

The beavers came thought today.  They played well, the O-line struggled a little giving up the usual sacks.  But the QB still played very well.  The D sounded like they could play all day, but did give up some quick scores when Simpson went into their quick O.  I believe BV took a step forward, and will be competing this year and could surprise some teams this year.

WB kicker is going to get chance to win this with 41 fg.....

Wow... excellent game.  Must tell you, having moved to Oregon I haven't seen them play since they came to Linfield twice.  Fun to watch streaming video, and I thought the announcers did a great job.

Would love to see the IIAC get two teams in the playoffs... maybe these two?

Ugh. This stings. Really thought that the Dutch had this game especially late. Great job by Yordi escaping the sack late to give Wartburg that extra yard it needed on the kick. Congrats to the Knights. Now comes the gut check moment by this young Dutch squad. There are 8 more games to go. Time to step up and run the table.

Won't happen...blame thbe Kannigets game against the Auggies...again.

Warties need to win the IIAC to qualify, and they can afford to lose 1.  Even if the Dutch wins our from here it is a stretch to think they get in from 2nd place.

Although Bethel was losing to a better than good Carlelton team.

D3 seems to be up in the air this season after the top 3.

Congratulations to Wartburg on a hard-fought win.  I thought maybe we had you there when we finally went ahead in the 4th.  It seemed Wartburg was wearing down, but this year they found a way.  Doolittle, we feel your pain from last year, it didn't look like the FG was going to make it, but somehow it did.

Congratulations also to the Dutch.  You played great today, we didn't come out on top, but you have nothing to hang your heads over.  It was only our second game and our first game really didn't help much.  You got down right after the half and just kept coming back.  You played a full 60 minutes of great football.  I was also impressed with the strategic QB switches.  Not every team has a QB playing both ways and on special teams.  Both Bandow and Lackey did a nice job.  There were a lot of dropped passes that were there.  I see only good things ahead for the Dutch.

Wartburg is a good team that can be beaten.  I'm not convinced they can run the tables through the end of the season, the title is still up for grabs.  With Central having a non-conference game next week, all you other fans can enjoy two weeks with Central dead last in the conference.   ;)  But two weeks is all we are going to give you.   ;D ;D ;D  For a rebuilding/reloading year, the Dutch looked awfully good today.

Too much football to be played yet.  If Central can run the rest of the table, I don't know if today's loss would keep them out.  I do think Wartburg would have to run the table or only lose one more and have Central tie for first to have two teams make the playoffs.  The other losses by rated teams today will help.  Like it or not, Central has a playoff tradition that might give them a second look above another team and an early season close loss doesn't tend to hurt a team as much as a late season loss.  But there is a lot of football to be played yet this year.  Anything could happen.  But none of the IIAC teams go undefeated this year.   :'(

One nice thing came out of today, I did get to see Dutchfan1.  Still the class of the board.

Great day at Carlson...Norse win...looked really good at times. I can't  beleive the impovement that was shown from week one, that really excites me! UD has some players but just not the same amount of playmakes that they seemed to have last year and they really never streatched the field at all. A ton of turnovers forced by the Norse D and one of the touchdowns UD scored was on a blown call so a great day for the D. Freshman QB is gonna be pretty good for the next few years. All in all great win for the Norse!!
