Sounds like this leans more towards a rules violation vs. being injured in the game.

He had pads off and shoulder wrapped in ice during last weekends game.  But I suppose you could be correct.

Some things are best kept to ourselves, LC.  Norse on the board knew it anyway.  Do you see other guys reporting injuries or disciplinary action on their teams?

If the kid had ice on his shoulder, it eliminates a rules violation for the most part.  I had not been given any information to believe it otherwise.

Don't know to many teams that use this board as a key part of their scouting report...I'm sure simpson coaches have way more info on LC then any of us...

That may be a little naive to think.  I don't think that IIAC teams have spies in everyone's offices.  Injuries usually are not public knowledge.  I know team members talk but it is usually not made public.  I think this qualifies as a public forum.  I think Old Norse is correct in this that some things are best kept in family till some one from the outside makes them public.

Dubuque and Loras announce a two year deal to play the "Dubuque Bowl" as a night game.

http://www.thonline.com/article.cfm?id=217028

The fact that they already know the date of next years game makes me wonder why they just don't post future schedules on the IIAC site like other conferences do.  Next years Dubuque/Loras game is Oct. 10th.

Knowing the drinking culture in Dubuque I'm not so sure having a night game between UD and Loras is such a great idea.  But if the schools are installing lights, they might as well use them.  I like that they are thinking about marketing these games and really turning it into something special though.

I saw this the other day, I was pretty excited! That will be a crazy atmosphere...well as far UD/Loras goes.  Those night basketball and soccer games are pretty intense, i can't imagine how it'll be for football.

The BV win really brought out the Beaver talk, if Loras manages to beat Coe (which essentially none of you think will happen), we'll have an 'ole hoops board reunion on our hands.

Coe is 2-2 in the past 4 years against Loras.  It is always a great game - but hopefully the Coe players remeber that.  That being said, i think loras has fallen a little bit very quickly

Coe will have to deal with that Loras defense which is # 1 in scoring and # 1 in rush defense.   I hope Atwater is as nervous about this game as he was about Cornell..... ;D

And what about that #1 for Loras at receiver.   The Coe d-backs will have their hands full!   Bringing some pressure might help!  I am very worried about this game.   This will be the real tell tale sign of how the Kohawks will be this season.   In front of their homecoming crowd the last time we played Loras in 06, we lost.

hes very talanted, but hasnt ever done anything vs Coe... i'm sure the coaches remember the last time Loras came to CR.. there will be no looking past them

I think this will be a good tell-tale game for both teams.  Coe's played some stiff competition in their two losses and Loras has looked good and bad against average competition.  Whoever wins this game could make some noise in the conference.

McMahon is playing great so far for the Duhawks, but Loras isn't looking perfect through the air. Geseing has 4 picks on the season already and he got sacked like it was his job against Monmouth.  McGrew will always gain a few yards but he usually doesn't decide games.  If Coe can bring the pressure like Monmouth did, keep tabs on McMahon, and continue to do even okay on offense they should pick up the win......hopefully they don't.  :)

No Worries LC.....I have often put my foot in my mouth...dang that leaves a bad taste in the kisser...as some on this board know(don't say it WH lol I know what you are thinking).
I would just say that we are working on a new secret weapon.  I saw at least 1 on Monday.  The Norse will be ready come Saturday. My prediction for Simpson game is a 20-13 Norse victory.  Defense has another big day and frosh QB makes more progress.  So cheer up LC and keep giving us Norse fans your insight and knowledge (measured of course) on the team.  I for one have enjoyed what you and Old Norse have had to say.

Piggy-backing on the next two year's schedules - I've heard that Central and Wartburg are playing in week 11 in 2009 and 2010.

I don't want you to think I was hard on you.  I just was in agreement with OldNorse.  So things are best kept quiet till they become public knowledge.  After the cat is out of the bag you can fill the details in.  Best left the opponents guessing till kickoff if you can get it that way.
