Any news about the Rockets and Storm?

I was just about to ask the same thing.  A 4-0 Pick 'Em weekend for yours truly is on the line.

Well...

I can politely state that Wartburg, as the #23 team in the country, had plenty of problems with some of the individual talent on Cornell.

Bush, at times, looked unstoppable.

Hardman showed flashes but the offense was more geared around Bush

22 1st downs to 14 for Wart  416 yards total O for the Rams.  (that's the #1 D iin the league?)

Heys Jr. caught some good balls..I thought they could have found him more...maybe Wartburg made it a point to keep him in check...

Wartburg...not really all that impressive.

I'm betting they are better than they showed...somewhat of a hangover effect from Central, perhaps.

Then again...accompanied by home made chili, a video webcast, 4 Sierra Nevadas and Mrs. Heys... a good day.

;)

Does Cornell run any Wing-T? I thought that was their base and I didn't see a single snap of that today.
I haven't looked at the stats yet. Wondering what Bush's rushing stats were in the first drive of the game compared to the others.
I called the hangover earlier this week. How can you not after you just "upset" a top 10 team at their place and then are playing a team who hasn't won a meaningful game in 3 years.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

Hats off to the Wartburg broadcast team...they didn't mince words about they way the Kaniggets performance went on defense and short yardage Offense and they were complimentary to the Rams for a good effort.

Didn't need the crack about visitor attendance.

A lot of us out of state-ers are there in spirit...

This was the 1st week we didn't run the wing T...I am happy to see it.  It takes advantage of Bush's best assets.

Still need to tweak the passing attack.  We need to do more crossing (that's not a pick ref!) routes to clear receivers.

Bush can be quite accurate on short stuff.  46 attempts is too much though, IMHO.

Tra will not get the rushing record with us moving to the spread...but with the performance against an accomplished D such as Wartie, I am looking forward to us exploring the possibilties.

That first drive made the Kaniggets look impotent.   :)

I would settle for a 4-0 week for you.  I would however want it to be 5-0 ;D ;D

I will go on record by saying I am so happy with the way our defense performed today.  If they can keep that level of effort up we have a chance.

:)

I actually am doing better on the MIAC pickems than the IIAC ones.  I got 17 out of a possible 18 points up there this week.

Coe-Loras by the numbers:

23-21 final score
12 a conservative estimate of the blown calls
1 Coe fans ejected for no apparent reason
0 time remaining on the clock when Loras snapped the ball for game winning TD

Did I mention the officals were HORRIBLE?
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

Simpson 28
Luther      9

Simpson jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead and cruised from there.  Luther only managed 275 yards of offense vs. 427 by Simpson.  Simpson's Reutzel rushes for 209 yards on 23 carries and a pair of TDs, one a 53 yarder.  That wasn't even his long for the day.  He had another 61 yard run that apparently didn't go the distance.
