It's not too dificult to turn grown men into little boys...just mention Trojans and Beavers ;D

My wife had an interesting insight today.  She told me she hopes our son plays defense some day.  Because she would rather see him hitting people than taking hits.  At this point I would say I would have to agree with her.

So does Heys Rev. 3 go with you to some games next year during Heys Jrs' senior season to start the early recruiting???  Or do you wait until he is older???

That's a good question...Rev. 3 won't be making any trips to the Iowa this year after catching the Homecoming games vs. DBQ and Central over the last 2 years.

He's got his own Freshman games to attend to at VHS.

He's also much more clued into the process having watched the recruitment for both big bro and big sis...

We'll have to wait until he really starts growing to see where it takes him.  He is also a basketball and baseball player.

His feet are already bigger than mine, so we hope to see him approach his brother's size...

I will also say this...Rev. 3 knows very well the pecking order in IIAC football and he also knows a thing or two about the venues and the quality of venues at Dubuque and Luther, as well as at Wartburg.  We're Presbyterian, too.   ;D

BTW...the Johnnies know of him too...   ;)

I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Sounds like the rams fought their a$$es off today. I am also proud of them for not packing it in after 3 straight losses...keep fighting. It sounds like they are so close so keep fighting rams. I'm glad to hear that the wing-t maybe gone...although I think they still need to utilize one of the best backs in the league in Tra...without the wing-t though ;D

I believe BV plays Wartburg next week....that is one I'll be keeping an eye on. Game of the week possibly??

That gives you three choices as far as the IIAC.  One is waaaayyyy out in western Iowa.  One is the rival of your oldest sons school.  And the third has possibly the best facilities in the IIAC, is 1 1/2 hours drive from Chicago...where you would likely be flying into from Cali, and has been known to play non-con games in Cali...so you would be able to see him play close to your home.  I think we have a winner ;D ;D ;D

Knights-Ram Game. I lasted til 1/2 and then work called...I HATE THAT!
Cornell looked very good on 1st drive but the DE/LB lost contain and then missed tackles on the QB on his long runs. After that drive,  the rest of the first 1/2 he was a little hesitant to run. The failed  4th & 10 fake punt was a killer BEFORE the pick 6's. I was at the game with HS teammate and his 11 year old. when the Rams got the ball with 1:00 left in 1/2, Dad says a first down will end the half. The kid I was with said the Rams had time to throw a pick. 3 plays later..... TD Knights.

Hays Jr. is HUGE. He would have had another catch for about 20 yds but the pass was a little behind and the safety made a great strip. I agree though, GET HIM THE BALL MORE IF Cornell IS TO WIN.

Good Wart crowd but Ram fans did not even fill the top row of bleachers.

Any problems w/ video feed? Does WC effort have all whistles and bells Central did? I'll notify Orkin to kill the bugs in W. Hoover.
Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

Rockets played like the Rockettes.  Didn't unleash the secret weapon.

Nice win today by the Beavers. I guess I do not owe you a hot now doolittle:). I did like the rented mule line though. I use it occasionaly.

Big test in Storm Lake next weekend. Is the Beavers defense good enough to slow down the Knights?

Can BV's passing attack and running game keep improving enough to beat top competition. Time will tell and it should be a great weekend of football.
If BV and Loras win they would be sitting a top the conference. When's the last time that happened?
