What happends in Waverly if they win out until the last game of the year and then lose to Dubuque at home on the last day of their season for the 2nd straight time???  Drink heavily at Joe's???  Gut the coaching staff and start over???  Become UIU fans???  Other???

Quick look at the rest of the season and how I see it playing out.
Luther gives BV their first conf. Loss this weekend
Wartburg puts together their first full game of the year with the help of beautiful homecoming weather in Waverly.
Coe gets Central
Fast Forward to November and find BV still in the Driver's seat.
Coe gets BV in Storm Lake
Wartburg has a VERY close game with Luther but wins and is sitting just Behind BV until that game.
Cornell gets their first conf win of the career of many of the players there in week 10 against BV after BV checks out.

Yep, I like how you think, WH.   8)

Thanks, The Show, for the info on the private college plates.  I guess Prez Phieffer (or whoever is in charge of such transactions) should ante up the 5K.   Maybe the alumni association   :-\   ?

Doesn't Coe play the Beavers in CR this year?

no.  every 2 years, bv switches it's home and away schedule, unlike the rest of the IIAC, which is every year.

BV is at Coe on Nov. 1st.

BV hosts Luther, Waldorf & Central yet this year and ends the year at Cornell (which by the way, I'd bet a healthy sum of money on vs Walston's prediction).

ESPN should have college football on tonight...not quite D3...but that should satisfy your fix until saturday.

Are the video streaming the IIAC schools doing this year archived so we can watch them during the week?  Not that there are any UD games so far that I would like to see, but I am hopefull for the future!!!

Thx Doolittle, the FSU/NCS will be entertaining although I would rather see the BYU/TCU game.  I tried to find archives of Luther FB games but didn't see any archived.  That doesn't mean they are there...I'm only on my fist cup of liquid ambition.  With Luther@BV this week...which is about an 8 hr drive for me I doubt I will be trekking the golden roads of the heavenly state this w/e.  Hey Doo...I came across a watering hole that made me think of you...even though I don't know you.  In SW Wisconsin in a town called Lancaster.... on the town square is a place called Doolittle's Pub & Eatery....any relation???

Doolittle,

Bad prediction on the pickems.  I will be in CR for the Coe game this weekend.  Care to change anything?   ;D ;D ;D ;D  That could have been the missing part of the loss to Luther I don't want to make that mistake again.

Strangely enough, I have a friend from my UD days that is from Lancaster, and is partly involved with the naming of doolittle for me.  Long story, but it involves a museum in Denver, me saying hello to some ducks and then the ducks following me wherever I went after that.  I never knew about that bar and if that was in the back of his mind then ;D

If I had a better winning percentage I would change my pick in the Coe/Central game.  If I can go 3-1 this week with that being my only miss...I will take it!!!  I suppose that is a pretty straight shot for you across hwy 30.  63 degrees and sunny on saturday should make for a good day of football.  PH would be wearing thermal undies and a ski mask...but a good day for football for most of the rest of us!!!

I know about the weather.  Son said that it is getting into the sixties at night in Cali and that the players have gotten their long sleeves out for practice at night as it is still in the 90's during the day so they have had evening practices.  He just smiles at them and goes out in his short sleeves.   ;D ;D ;D ;D

Win or  lose Knight fans will "Drink heavily at Joe's".  Along w/ Willis' return, 2 new co-ordinators, 4 new position coaches this season a doubt a "gutting will be done. OR needed because this Dbq team is not last years.

Great post 5 Words Twin.  Anything written at 2 AM that is still coherent deserves a :) and some + karma.

However I disagree that "bus lag" is going to do in the Norse vs. BV........made the trip enough times myself to know that the team gets off the bus and can hardly wait to stretch it out on the field.  This 2008 Norse team has FOCUS.  The "shoot self in foot" stuff may not be over but will be minimized (it was most obvious vs. Waldorf with a first year kick receiver.)

If Luther loses, I'll buy you dinner in Decorah after the Cornell game providing you are still following the Rams that late in the season.
