WH CONGRATS ON YOUR VICTORY LAST NIGHT AND CONGRATS TO TO THE EVIL EMPIRE FOR THIER VICTORY. STILL IN THE HUNT. DIDN'T GET TO LISTEN TO THE GAME TODAY AS I WAS OUT OF TOWN. HOW DID THE KNIGHTS PLAY TODAY.

WH, YOU GUYS ARE IN THE PLAYOFF AREN'T YOU ?

KoHawk01

I heard through a good friend of a friend that Loras grad' Brock Hall, played LB and a little RB for Loras might be suiting up for the Chicago Rush next February.  My nephew is great friends with one of Hall's hometown friends and my nephew was informed that Hall turned in a great workout for their scouts and they've began talking contract terms but Hall was undecided as he didn't really care to keep playing ... if such is the case then I think Hall is crazy!!!!  On a different note, congrats to all the winners today!  Way to go KoHawks, Cornell turned in a good performance today it sounds like, sounds like a few key mistakes was the difference for the Dutch and Rams ... Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

THis is the case when losing becomes a habit.

We had our opportunities...

Missed an INT that would have thwarted the Dutch scoring 2 plays later.

Failed to defend fairly on 4th and goal from the 5 when caught holding on the outside...2 plays later the Dutch score.

We got the ball on the Dutch 25 with 3 minutes and fail to do anything, where a score puts the game away.

Missed an early extra point that would have been the winning difference.

CRAP!!!  Going to the market for a 12 pack of Sierra Nevada

Thank you Captain Obvious.

Yes, we are in. Won our conference, but with the point system in 4A, we are seeded 4th behind 2 teams in our conference that we finished above.

You're very welcome.
Every week its something new for the reason the Rams lose. Different reasons, some may call them excuses, all the time. Its almost comical for those of us on the outside casually observing them. At some point, either its going to change and they are going to grab a win, or they are going to go back to not even having excuses why they lose because they will just be flat bad again.

Funny story there, not really. After the game, a couple other coaches and myself figured out the points and had us playing Ft. Dodge and the rest of the seeds out.
A couple other people called us up and told us they had us playing Council Bluffs Lincoln. Then the state came out with their pairings around 12:45 am and had us playing Lincoln. We re-figured our points again and still had us playing Ft Dodge.
Around 1 am, started getting some phone calls that some things were brought to the state's attention and  they were re-figuring some things.
Around 1:15 then the new pairings were put out and we were indeed playing Ft Dodge.

WTF is right Airborne!  I only listened to the 2nd half but it sounded like Cornell owned the first half, and I know they owned the third quarter.  Central announcers made it sound like the spread option was run at will by the Rams, aka Hardeman/Bush doing whatever they wanted.

After the Dutch make a stop then turn it right back over in the 4th, I'm thinking this is the game where the Rams turn the corner and begin hearing the little voice in their head say "we'll make this play!"  rather than "I hope we don't mess up now!"  When they do that, and get enough depth to put good special teams on the field, they will win games in th IIAC.

I guess somehow you don't realize that you and I already agree.

The reasons actually are the same.  Failing to make a play when needed.

There are no new excuses.  The funny thing is that a few weeks ago the Wartburg Nation sounded like a bunch of Cornell posters with their excuses on a lost season.

No one is immune from venting what might have been after a loss.

It's lame that you re-adopt the Wartburg $h!t-don't-stink attitude when the thing turns around.

I hope the Wartburg bandwagon's suspension doesn't collapse under the weight of its fans climbing back on.

So my first Karma pt goes to PH, not making excuses but running down the opportunities.  Over 400 yrds to the Dutch at less than 250, you shoulda won!

Now The Dutch have to figure out which Dutch team is the real Dutch team so they can get consistent or they won't win any more.

No one is immune from venting what might have been after a loss. Agreed, some just have more experience than others.
It's lame that you re-adopt the Wartburg $h!t-don't-stink attitude when the thing turns around. The attitude was never lost. Still carried it with me and flaunted it after losing to BV while working with a bunch of BV grads. Made for a lot of fun
I hope the Wartburg bandwagon's suspension doesn't collapse under the weight of its fans climbing back on. I would not classify anyone that cheers for Wartburg on here a "bandwagon" fan. That would suggest that we are just cheering for them because they win. Most of us have upwards of $100k invested in the school, along with a lot more blood and sweat or the sweat of some of the poster's kids.

I am leaving to go eat with the family tonight. Just felt I needed to explain why I'm not here in case anyone accuses me of jumping off the bandwagon.

Another huge game for McGrew as Loras takes advantage of UD turnovers and the Loras D shuts down the UD offense.  Now on the road to Pella for next week.  I'm still hoping that the Loras - Luther game the last week of the season matters!  Go Norse next week!

Heys,

I know you already are but be very proud of Jr today.  He did an outstanding job.  The Dutch refused to account for him time and again and Bush had an easy time of finding that big guy.  They made the Dutch pay for not accounting for him.  The Dutch were very lucky to get away with one today.  I know it was not a win for the Rams but congrats for the great game they played.

Thanks...we'd rather he play poorly and have the Rams finally win one.   :-\
