After listening to Pat's podcast on bubble teams - A 2 loss team that doesn't win their conference may not get in this year.  Although some strange things can happen in these last two weeks.

John Blesz, Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa/Kirksville (Mo.)
Blesz, a sophomore kicker/tight end, was called to duty following the late scratch of starting kicker Taylor Buhmeyer and went 4-for-4 on extra-point attempts and made a 27-yard field goal with 5:19 remaining in the game which proved to be the margin of victory in the Duhawks' 31-28 win over Central. The win was Loras' first in Pella since 1941. Blesz, who also caught two passes for 16 yards, was kicking at the collegiate level for the first time.

When was the last time a back-up kicker got player of the week???

I would love to see any pics others on here have of their stadiums.  I'll see if I can find some I took of Ash Park!!!

Congrats on the win.  Keep it rolling.

Doolittle dog,

Those are beautiful photos! Man, those Iowa campuses are pretty. I'd enjoy seeing some others, too. I don't have any of the Catdome, but if you go to the Catdome site, you can see some good ones. In the PNW most of the stadiums are covered because of the rain we get out here. We've been lucky this year.

Coco,

I can attest to how beautiful the PacNW campuses are. The football stadiums out there are the perfect compliment to some awesome football teams, too -- Go 'Cats (and Lutes -- Frosty was a class act)! I wish Central were doing a little better this season so that I had a better excuse to visit again!

Tell Mrs. Coco and Bluenote hello! We love the classy fans from Linfield!

In a related note, I talked to a former player from the Miracle in the Mud era this evening at my part time job....he cringed at the reference. Oops! Guess even old plays are gone but not forgotten! ;)

Dutchie,

The Central campus was awesome, and it was fall when we saw it with you, and that was before you guys got your new field.  I bet it's even prettier in the spring.
We also thought Wartburg had a great campus, and that was before they got their new facility.
Iowa is NOT all flat cornfields. It's a beautiful state.

Congrats to him, but this is a travesty in a week Tate Harrison had 22 tackles and several offensive performers excelled. The IIAC needs a defensive player of the week category.
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

I've got to agree with Charlie on this one.  Having a back up kicker get POW honors is a stretch to me after seeing some of the other performances this past weekend.  Congrats to that kid though!

I agree.  Tate was robbed.
