To kohawk fan

Thanks for another Enlish lesson and being a big brother to doolittle. I figured he could reply with his own argument.

BTW:  I can take it so keep dishing it out.

Klopenshmimer...crap I spelled my own name wrong!

Dear Klop, I only have sisters ;)

You get no argument from me.  I didn't feel I needed to respond to you.  I guess I will just add that a friend of mine was talking to me recently and he mentioned he was not sure if he had EVER seen Dubuque win a game.  That got me thinking that DF2K4 had probably seen most Central games over the last few years...the ones he might have missed could well have been playoff games up in Minnesota...leading to the fact he would probably have a pretty high winning percentage.  Mostly I take a light hearted approach to posting on here.  Wasn't trying to put DF2K4 up on a pedestal or make you puke in your mouth...you have my apologies and hopefully you hadn't eaten anything too gross before your mini vomit!!!

I did not figure that you would respond.  I did not want you to.  I am sure you noticed that I keep somewhat of a prickly attitude.  Thats kind of my edge and my M.O. on this board.  I kind of like to stir the pot a little bit and dish it out.  But like I told KoHawk Fan, I can take it so pour it on.

I feel bad that here it is the 6th already and I just learned that November is Iowa Wine Industry Month.  I wish I had a bottle to uncork to celebrate when Central beats the Beavers.

Not too late to go buy one and let it sit for a few years.  It's supposed to get better with age anyway!

What kind of wine goes best with beaver, red or white?

Beaver is a very delicate meat that requires a lot of preperation before you can full enjoy it.  You must rememeber that beaver can only be baked so you will need to preheat your oven.  Then the beaver requires a couple of different techniques of spice rubs to reach full flavor.  One involves rubbing the meat in a circular fashion along the northern most points followed by a deep penetrating rub down towards the middle.  After the oven is preheated and the meat is rubbed you are free to bake it and enjoy it with a glass of white wine.

Regional rankings are out.

Still no IIAC team in the West.  Does that mean only the IIAC champ will qualify for the playoffs, leaving out the second place team?

I think only 1 team makes it, as of now.  I would guess a lot of teams would have to lose coming down the stretch (and BV and Wartburg win big) for a second team to be chosen this year.  I might add, I don't want BV winning big this week!

Snow on the ground in Waverly this morning.  I posted this over on the Pick 'Em board too, but does the run-up to tomorrow's Wartburg-Dubuque game feel eerily similar to '06 to anyone else?

You coming down tonight? Yeager said they could probably use a spotter and talked about having you talk about the 4A teams on the East side of the state.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

Weather and Wartburg wise, it is similar.  Dubuque, however, is on a 2 game losing streak instead of a 2 game winning streak.  I would be happy with a similar result on saturday that we had in 2006 though...very happy actually.  If that happends I would probably need to eat my post game meal in Cedar Falls, instead of Waverly though!!!

WH - Good Luck tonight.

Unlike 2006 I doubt the AD will be out there shoving the lines.  :D Won't be needed though.

Okay folks its getting to end of the season and we should be chattering our brains out.  I am not going to start talking playoffs yet, but the Beavers still have a lot of business to take care of.

Lets start with this...If the season ended today who are you pick for the following.

COY:  Anderson:  If BV wins it he gets it hands down
POY:  McGrew:  he has turned in solid performances in big games
Biggest surprise:  BV if they win the conference
Biggest disapointment:  Cornell if they do not win a conference game.
Biggest turning Point in the season for any team:  When Cornell lost the opening two games they were on a slipperly slope.  When BV lost to Luther and came back to beat Waldorf big and Coe at their house.  Typically BV goes in the crapper after a loss.

Also vote for your favorite IIAC mascott:  Norseman:  With all the Norse blood I have running through my viens I always liked that mascott.

Probably not.  I think I'm going to play the "better safe than sorry card."  I typically don't mind winter driving, but this would be my first snow trip with my new car, and I'd just rather be a bit closer to home in case anything goes awry or the system turns out to be stronger than predicted.  Besides, the only game I've seen Dowling play since you started coaching there was a playoff loss to Valley, and I don't want to jinx you twice.
