Where did all of the people go from the other IIAC school south of I80.   This could be their last, very slim, chance for the next several years to beat Central, and all we get is one skin deep shot at the Central women.  At least last year we got some useful information on the quantity (never quality) of Indianola bars.  Is there nothing left to be said after that?

3 of the bottom 4 teams on that list still play on grass-the only ones in the conference that do so.
Wartburg played one game on grass this year at BV. Didn't turn out so well.

I don't see why anyone would want to play on grass.  It's harder to pay attention, you get cotton mouth during the game... Oh, you mean.  Nevermind.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Upside...you don't really care if you lose.  Can't wait to get out of your pads and go get some munchies after the game ;)

I've told my players time and time again that low man wins. You can not play high and expect to dominate.

1,200 Hey, they lowered the attendance...good job guys!!!

Of course, it sounds like they were still about 700 too high.  Maybe they counted internet attendance.   :D :D :D
They may have also counted the players, coaches, referees, cheerleaders, media, chain gang.

Simpson Joke of the Day...

Two Simpson College students are walking by a storefront and see a sign that reads:

     Suits $5.00 each
     Shirts $2.00 each
     Trousers $2.50 per pair

One says to the other, "Look! We could buy a whole lot of those, and when we get back to campus, we could make a fortune. Now when we go into the shop, you be quiet, okay. Just let me do the talking."

They go into the store and the Storm fan says, "I'll take 50 suits at $5.00 each, 100 shirts at $2.00 each, and 50 pairs of trousers at $2.50 each. I'll back up my truck up and ....."

The owner of the shop interrupts him, "You're from Simpson, aren't you?"

"Well...yes," says the surprised Storm fan. "How did you know that?"

The owner says, "This is a dry cleaners."

Go Dutch!   :-*

To be fair here.  Wartburg sells season tickets, which gets you a reserved seat in the middle sections of Walston Hoover, plus parking right outside of the stadium I believe.  If they counted those "sold" tickets along with those in the stadium.  You would probably get 1,200...which is what pro franchises do.  So that seems reasonable to me.

I am going to get up early tomorrow so I can have the first Simpson joke of the day instead of
The Second Simpson Joke Of The Day
After that bridge collapsed up in Minnesota a couple of years ago, the Iowa Department of Transportation decided to send two man teams out to inspect all of the bridges in Iowa.  One team had a Central grad and a Simpson grad.  They inspected the top of one bridge and decided that it looked pretty good.  Then they went underneath where everything was all rotten and rusted through.  The Central grad said, "This bridge is in terrible shape down here.  We better close it."  And the Simpson grad said, "Why, the cars only drive on the top?"

You can see by the overall records Luther is obviously better than Loras. After Saturday they will be twice as better.

This is something to play for.  With one game left for this Coe team they can leave knowing that Coe has doubled up their wins over losses in the last eigth years if they win this weekend.

The real reason for this post is to show everyone that you can edit quotes and just pull out the part you want to comment on instead of the over quoting that goes in on this board. :-*

And the Hawkeye basketball program for that matter.

I think we will want to focus our attention on the Hawkeye Wrestling team this fall.  I think our basketball team will be piss to piss poor.

News Flash:  Sources tell me that Jake Christiansen will be transfering to Eastern Illinois at the end of the season to play our his elligibility.
