Trying to get the game in my schedule Sat. May drive if a couple of local Wart buddies & middle wartknight & friends want to go. If not, may be looking at other options.
Look me up when you are up there.
I'll probably be with a short, pale-faced, dark haired round guy with glasses, a 12 year old, and a guy most likely with Winona State clothes on. I'll be the one in the obnoxiously orange coat.
Pork Chops, Chili, vegetable pizza, beer, Cap'n Coke, and probaby some Southern Comfort on the menu for Saturday.
I'm going to hit up our Ankeny HyVee, but I doubt they still have the Orange and Black Oreos out. Maybe warthog makes the trip and can provide those.
Hope a good crowd shows up. Be fun to take that place over as it appears they only average around 2k or so at games.

That's me...oh wait, you know someone else that fits my description.

Can't wait for this game.  I will have it playing loud on the computer while I do my chores around the house saturday.  Probably doing nothing more than sitting at the computer as the game gets deep into the 4th quarter.  I won't use the lucky lawn mower this week...but I will be wearing an orange sweatshirt to show my support saturday.

Now if that isnt a slice of a paradise of a fat man I do not know what is!
Sounds pretty healthy to me with that veggie pizza thrown in!!!

Biggest suprise good B.V.
Biggest suprise bad   Wartburg losing to eigth place in the MIAC Augsburg again. Making the IIAC look horrible.
I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

Or how about everyone else in the IIAC besides BV losing to Wartburg making the IIAC look even more horrible. In fact most people on here probably vaguely remember the last time Coe beat Wartburg.

Or Coe fans crying the entire season about the refs in game back in September.  That did a lot of the IIAC fan base representation.  Going 0 fer at home should help recruiting as well.

I forgot about that. Oh wait, no I didn't because it still gets brought up regularily.

Okay, I am going to bring this up and I am surprised that no one else has.

Did anyone take a look at the draw that Wartburg received?  UWSP and with a win they would be matched up with either Monmouth/Aurora?

This is a very favorable draw and it might allow an IIAC team to reach the 3rd round for the second season in a row!!!  Nevermind the collapse by BV and the supposed horrible loss that Wartburg suffered to Augsburg, which turned out to be a pretty good team, lets rally around the Knights and hope they can keep playing deep into the playoffs.

Looks like you guys have found a solution at running back and this makes this team all more primed to make a run.  I guess coming together late in the season is a much better thing than gelling early only to fall down in the end.

Klompen- Did Snead never come back from his injury, or did the other guy just end up beating him out?

No he never played again.  Was on crutches until last week I believe.  I have heard that he will get a medical redshirt for this season.  That is only a rumor I have no first hand knowledge of it but it was the second game of the year so it is possible.

I don't think Wartburg or the IIAC could have imagined a more favorable bracket. Catching a break isn't of any value if you don't take advantage of it. The Knights should match up pretty well against Point. I will be shocked if it isn't anybodies game in the 4th quarter.
I have a friend and business associate who has a son that is a stud linebacker for North Central. So I'm not sure yet if I'll be heading North or South come Saturday. If I head North, I'm only one free beer away from being a die hard Knight fan for the day.

I could be wrong about this, but I was under the impression one game equalled a season. I hope for his sake I'm wrong.

Purple Heys,

Hope you and the family is safe out there.  Looks really bad out there now.  Keep safe.  Will Jr get to come home for Thanksgiving or is he here till break?

For the moment San Diego is not affected, other than our fire fighters are out there helping.

The burning is all up to the north in LA, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties.  And it is very bad.  This isn't burning only the dry brush in the foothills.  It is buring down neighborhoods, just like last year here in the San Diego.

Pray for those folks.

As for Junior...he has been invited to join his roommate and family in the Chicago area.  We bring him home for Christmas on the 20th.
You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

It does for traditional redshirt rules, but for "medical hardship" season, I believe the magic number is 30% games, in D3's case, 3 games. In this case, it more often comes down to the player wanting to drop another 30 grand on college for another year of eligibility.
