News out of Ram-ville...

2 coaches are out...neither of whom are who you may assume it would be.  Meaning, not a top to bottom housecleaning.

Some food for thought:

...first winless season since 1951...

....18 game IIAC losing streak

....8 points in the 4th quarter for the 2008 season (2 were a safety allowed by Grinell to run the clock out)

....4-30 record over 3 seasons

....an offense best suited for players between the ages 15-18

....playcalling with the imagination of a grey crayon

....team on the verge of mutiny

thoughts?

How do you know this?

Not sure on rates...but I know all the seniors are graduating this year and haven't heard of anyone else who hasn't in the last few years...

Admin does care about success but monetary support is an unknown...as well as the salary of the head coach.

Playcalling was brutal...ran 36 zone 6 times in a row against Luther, option's run on the 4 yard line...

If you are an ex-player it isn't very becoming to air this out on this forum...If your beef is with Coach Dillon you should take to him.

Please consider the efforts of your teammates that choose to stick it out next year and the efforts they are trying to make to improve the team as well as the recruiting effort.  This was your team too and unless you graded out 100 of 100 every game, while I can understand your apparent frustration, you have to bear some responsibility too.

Storm Chaser

In Conference Stats -   Storm First in Total Offense  at 356/game   &  First in Total Defense 262.5/game  -  it was a year that could have been.   Key Turnovers / P--s Poor Officiating probably cost them a conference title.

BTW, I am Alex Macey's dad...so I am (nearly) directly connected to the team.  The posters on this board know who I am.

I think anonymous posting is generally crap.  People will write things they wouldn't put to someone's face...which is a level of cowardice IMHO.  Being a Ram fan is tough enough, but having them run down by a Cornell person is damaging in my opinion.

To say I am 100% happy with the team's performance is not accurate.  I am frustrated, maybe changes do need to be made, but it's not for me to say what those changes are...certainly not a fan's place to "out" sensitive information that affects careers of coaches and players.

If you are truly a fan, out of respect to the gentlemen affected, you should have let the school make an announcement...if what you say is actually true.

I noticed he posted as a guest. He doesnt have an account. I don't know the process for that though maybe someone else knows how to reach him.

There is an email icon beneath his name.  I think that would be his email address.  You might try that.

OzJohnnie

He deleted himself, not realizing his posts and your quotes of him would remain.  Hit and run.  Suddenly he figured out that he used a name that could identify him and he panicked.  The goon is lurking now hoping no one figures out his true identity.

(Great brain farts, Batman!  CCRAM33 is an idiot.)

#33 for the Cornell Rams is Jared Sanches.  Smile for the camera Mr. Sanches...

EDIT: But he may be faking it as well, trying to ruthlessly implicate poor Jared in a scheme not of his making.  Coward, regardless.

The name on the email address and the post from OZ do not match.  So maybe someone is trying to get him in hot water.

I was glad I got to look at that picture, nonetheless.

Trying to get the game in my schedule Sat. May drive if a couple of local Wart buddies & middle wartknight & friends want to go. If not, may be looking at other options.
Look me up when you are up there.
I'll probably be with a short, pale-faced, dark haired round guy with glasses, a 12 year old, and a guy most likely with Winona State clothes on. I'll be the one in the obnoxiously orange coat.
Pork Chops, Chili, vegetable pizza, beer, Cap'n Coke, and probaby some Southern Comfort on the menu for Saturday.
I'm going to hit up our Ankeny HyVee, but I doubt they still have the Orange and Black Oreos out. Maybe warthog makes the trip and can provide those.
Hope a good crowd shows up. Be fun to take that place over as it appears they only average around 2k or so at games.

Who will most likely be even more round when he bundles up for 35 degree weather.

Greetings from the MWC board, how is everyone on this board feeling about the first round game against UW-SP?

Not sure, road tripping to SP is a lot easier than flying to Oxy...though colder.

General feeling is this side of the bracket might be a bit easier than the other.  But who knows.

Nice to have you on here tonight from over on the MWC side.  Welcome.

Fair point.  Although I did get an idea of what some of you old folks have to deal with when I shaved my head to benefit childhood cancer back in May.
