Aaron Kampman on Coach Ed Thomas
I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ.

I don't know who Coe got in the three way trade, but I think Wartburg got the better of deal with Neil Suckow than UWW did with Mitchell Moore.  Perhaps Coe gets a recruit to be named later and will end up with the best of the bunch.   :D

I'm happy for both Coe and Wartburg that our former players who exchanged uniforms have not chosen to come on here and bad mouth the schools they left.  We can be proud of both young men.  Mitch, you should take notice of how it should be done.

How about Willis giving one of his players a hard time about not helping to shovel off the field?   :D  Guess that's part of his "personality of a door knob" that kohawkfan was talking about on the Wisky board.

WH... Are you in for making the trip on Saturday?  You'll have to send me text updates... I forgot we've got Mrs. Dsquared's Christmas party on Saturday evening.  It's a tough choice, but I am picking an open bar over a trip up to the frozen tundra.  Maybe I can catch it streaming online too.  Would the junior WH's be going to the game or staying with the good Doctor up in P'burg?

AEN... Let me know if you are making a computer delivery.  Pro shops down here are having their holiday sales right now... so even though Gardner isn't owned by the same guy anymore, I'm sure you could make it worth your while.  Only dates that won't work for me right now are the 11th and the 18th, as those will be company Christmas party dates.

As for this weekend's game, it looks like if the Knights can hold off a fast and furious start from the Warhawks, we'll be in for a great game.  Both teams are best offensively in the 2nd quarter... and the Knights look to clamp down on defense in the 2nd half.  On paper... WW is a clear favorite... if WW and WB played the same schedule.  As it stands, though, it looks to be a great game.  Possibly whichever team handles the weather the best will come out the victor.  Looks like a heat wave will just be passing through... high of 30 and morning snow.  Recipe for amazing quarterfinal football!!!

As for my earlier prediction, and after reading a lot of the smack on the WIAC board, I'm going to have to change my prediction for this weekend... WB 21 - WW 17.

don't think the talk on either boards, whether it's smack or not, is going to change the outcome of a football game....stick with your original pridiction  ;)

I don't think the banter on the boards will be used as bulletin board material either... but based off the cockiness of many on the WIAC board and Champs07 being a punk and bad-mouthing a school that didn't turn out what he hoped it would be, I change my guess on personal bias and not wanting to give WW the credit they deserve.  Like I also said... if WB holds WW in check 1st quarter, this game is a total toss-up... which I would bet is gonna happen.

understood....but not all of us are bad people from the WIAC. after the SP loss, most of us don't take any of the games for granted, and most of us respect each opponent. Each game could be whitewater's last. Personally, I didn't think they would make it this far with the team being so young (don't tell anyone of the WIAC board I said that though, i'll be shunned  :P).

Yea, there is some smack talk every now and then, but that's on every board. you should go back and read some the things Willamette was saying about us prior to last weeks game. No matter what gets said though, you have to give the "Hawks some credit....history proves we back it up. Best of luck to a great game this saturday.

Looks like it's going to be snowy in a.m. and windy. high of 30.

Thanks kohawkfan.  I couldn't remember TeKippe's name, but I did remember he did a good job for the Kohawks.  I appreciate the assist.

Technically, Coe got Tekippe from Kirkwood

And if you want to get really technical, if I remember correctly, Tekippe was recruited to pitch at Wartburg, and after shoulder problems was pretty much gonna ride the bench.  I think that FB was his second choice and he made the most out of that that he could.  If any of you see Tekippe around, make sure you ask him about his night wandering around Iowa City... but make sure he tells you the story with a 40 of OE 800 in his hand.  The story gets better as he drinks more.
