As others have said it will take a lot for us to be ranked top 25 or top 50 for that matter. However, I think a win over wesley will get us in a regional top 25 for sure. And to further the conversation, I think that if we (ETBU) have what it takes to beat Wesley at home (they are 40-2 since '04) then we will have what it takes to go 9-1 or possibly 10-0. A HUGE stretch but I think thats what it is going to take to knock off such a consistently dominant program in their own yard on opening day.

I think we have what it takes for sure. Just gotta translate it onto the turf.

Hopefully the squad will be able to correct last years mishaps and make full use of our 17 returning starters.

I would assume it is Darius Wilson, who got a lot of carries before getting injured last season. Considering his size 5'8 180, durability might be an issue. Stephen Salinas got a lot of carries and I know the Wesley staff was impressed with him on film but he didn't end up with any carries with Quincy carrying the load. Senior Peyton Price had pretty good numbers in limited carries too.

Our hype isnt as great as you think. Id say its me posting on here, plus one dude who had no idea what he was talking about. And the talks are based entirely upon us beating Wesley. If we win then its deserved, if we dont Id say we are in an expected situation and are lucky to have 17 returners, 20 seniors and a conference that has several teams that have lost their top playmakers.

That is I/we are sitting. We know that HSU and MHB are still the teams to beat, but the "back of the pack," (that always manages a key win or two) is catching up and we feel that we have a chance to lead that "pack," this season.

I don't know if it's so much hype, as it is fan of the school just asking opinions on how others in the conference feel

I would say its "HYPE" but at this point most of us are operating on that premise. Until the first snap no one really knows how each individual team will fair this season. I personally like all the "hype." It makes for interesting conversation and its one of the best things about D3 sports in my opinion.
