Just read about the HSU-Sul Ross game.  It must have been a track meet!  Incredible to average 12 yard per play.
I do hope that LC gets a play off bid; ASC deserves another with the good teams it has had this year!

If they do get in, with Trinity being down and other south teams being down, it looks as if the "Texas Sub-Bracket" will hold true again in the first round. I hope that isn't true, but most likely, it will be.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

the first half wasn't much of a track meet. HSU was just laying the smack down. there was a lot of running but it was the SRSU QB running for his life. If you remember the UMHB - McM game when Ty Sellers was QB for McM, it looked a lot like that. Apparently leaving at the half was the wrong decision, but I just couldn't watch that anymore.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Believe that we were as surprised -as you found out-that games that were free on Stretch Internet for a couple of years now cost $12. I'm missing WHY they charge.
With the UMHB team that kicks THIS year, the next year schedule is going to be phenomenal.

Next year's schedule will be fun. Away @ Huntingdon, Away @Kean, Home for Wesley to open the new stadium then conference. I'm just sad that HSU doesn't get to play here next season.

Looking forward to the first game in the new stadium next year. The date on the calendar is circled. I'm hopeful the entire Boggs Bunch will be in attendance to help christen the "Cathedral."   : )

Doesn't really mean much but the ASC released this press release today saying the 11 remaining members are all committed to staying.

First regional rankings are up:

Surprise in here for ASC fans.
I just looked and am pleased to see 3 ASC teams regionally ranked! not as pleased to see Huntingdon ranked over LC

@d3jason

First regional rankings are out. UMHB #1, LC is #7 and HSU is #10.

Looks like LC will need a Huntingdon loss to jump to the top Pool C candidates in South unless a win over regionally-ranked Hardin-Simmons (which they need anyway) gives them a boost. Cowboys probably need a Hawk loss (a win over LC of course) and some carnage to the other Pool C contenders in other regions.

I just deleted an entire post that made no sense because I didn't think it through first....

LC has been impressive this year, but I honestly think HSU knocks them out of contention given the way the Cowboys are playing right now of course I am biased as my oft used Crucowboy screen name would suggest.

That November 10th game in Pineville just got extremely interesting.....Oh and i'm biased too i'll say LC wins over Hardin-Simmons, just to make it even  :D. Seriously though, how about all the National Reconigition the ASC has received this week- 4 National Players of the week, and National play of the week.

This game is VERY close. IN Pineville makes it closer. LC knows what is at stake. Their defense can be very good, they just need to maintain for 4 quarters. Offensively, they can also be very good. They have to get pressure on the QB, take some chances, and keep the score low. Below 30, I think LC wins, above 30, I think LC loses.
