Interesting fact out of the Temple Daily Telegram, "Since the UMHB-UMU game in 2004, Mount Union has played 48 road games and traveled only 17, 252 miles (359 miles per trip). By comparison, UMHB has played 49 road games and traveled 53,422 miles (1090 miles per trip).

All I have to say is man it must be nice to have that many of your games so close to home. Sure would make traveling to watch the Cru a lot easier if the games were only a couple hours away instead of the potential for being double digit hours away.

Dings are overrated!!!! Cool cloudy day in Alliance...hopefully the rain will hold off and we can see a good clean game between 2 of the best teams in D3!!! Of course with UMHB taking home the victory!!! GO CRU!!!

Cool?  It's down right hot for December!  Welcome to Alliance - enjoy the game, but not too much.  :)
12-0 = 13

We visit our son and family in Dallas.  Texan are proud of their BIG state.  With it goes travel distance to games, I suppose.   ;)

Wow...interesting stat indeed.  One of the big differences between the northern and many eastern states vs the southern and western states is just the sheer size differences and the attitudes towards driving distances.  In the NE, people won't visit the next town over if its more than 30 minutes away.  When I lived in Corpus Christi I had parishioners who worked Victoria and San Antonio!

Even if UMHB only played only the 10 schools closest to them they'd still be racking up the miles to get to Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio...not to mention the smaller towns too.  It seems like in Ohio, every town with a certain population is required to have a small, private, liberal arts school and football team.  The towns are just so much more spread out in TX.   At least you'll be more travel prepared for trips to Alliance.

That true jaypeter and I would say the reverse is true when you talk about walking distance. In Texas we just expect to drive everywhere and we don't mind doing it (in fact I debated driving to Ohio) however it doesn't seem like many of us are down for walking from place to place which I know is much more expected in places that mass transportation is relied on.

runk

I found a local Internet cafe that will let me watch the game for $3.  Just a thought for anyone else stuck with an ISP like mine.    Enjoy the game roll raiders roll!

Very interesting that Mount has 9 players from Florida, 2 from Texas, and 2 from California...sure a long way to travel to win. Hmmmm...
Walking on thin ice cuz someone lost......again.

Ron Boerger

Quick TD by MUC, got the ball back already, not how the Cru wanted to start.

Cru get a big turnover!

The banner says ESPN U ... is this actually being televised?

echelontx

It will be replayed on Wednesday on espnu!! CRU 7-7

Ron Boerger

Very nice job by the Cru O-line on that drive.   All tied up in the first.

UMHB03

Looks like if UMHB is going to win, they will have to do it in a shoot out. The defense is a no show, albeit against a great offense.
2016, 2018, and 2021 D3 Football National Champions

umhbalum

So far no answer for the MU offense and great field position for MU each time to start the drives. Lets go Cru and answer the last scoring drive.

Ron Boerger

UMHB really needs to get a stop on this drive.  You don't want to go down by two TDs in Alliance.

Ron Boerger

MUC making uncharacteristic mistakes on offense ... need to take advantage of the short field after that huge loss on the fumble + crummy punt.

Bill McCabe

The play selection by the Cru after the bad Mount punt was terrible.  They haven't stopped our inside running game.
