Lower 40's and rain....
Hmmm- Looks like the boys from Rochester wont have to bring underarmour!
;D

Someone bring the sunscreen and keep the fluids pumping for Fisher this week!!!

That's heat stroke weather!!!

Texas cold is just a flat out different type of cold. So yall probably should bring (if you make the trek) some warm clothes. It will ice before it will snow here, and it sucks when it does.

It's just I can't believe you're going to say that Fisher or any one from upstate NY that the "cold" this week is something that is going to be different from what they've played in...

I think their basic stance isn't about the players so much as telling any potential fans who want to come.  That even though it says 40 it will actually feel colder.  But I will say that we are also accustomed to 30 or 40 degrees feeling much much colder.  Wind chill baby.

Actually as for someone who has lived in both the northeast and the south, I can attest that the cold in the south is "different." It's a humid cold and at 30-40 degrees it is a special kind of misery. Is it worse than 0 degree weather? Not in my opinion, but it is somehow equally as uncomfortable as some of the deeper cold you get in upstate NY.

All that being said, is it going to be a factor? I highly doubt it. The difference between the 30-40 degree wet cold in the south and the 30-40 degree wet cold in the northeast in late October isn't worth making a stink over and won't be much of a surprise to anyone, least of all the players, coming down from Rochester.

Nooooo...

Not making a stink out of anything, just saying that the Cardinals are going to play in weather that's equivalent to a late September early October game for the Cardinals...

Pretty much true as far as I'm concerned. Fans should bundle up that way and they will be just fine. That wet cold will penetrate! Lucky them visiting the Cruthedral. Good luck to both teams and no injuries.

The CRUthedral is the premier venue in D3. I also think ESPN would have to do very little to set up shop. There are the balconies on the student union building just behind the "visitors" seating. You have the mezzanine level that effectively goes around the entire stadium and there is an expansive mezzanine type area at the top of the upper deck seating. Additionally, any number of the "luxury" suites could be used as a broadcast booth. It would be great palace -- err, place to host a semifinal game.   ;D

UMHB just has to keep winning for it to even be a possibility.

Fortunately, none of this will have anything to do with UMHB hosting a semi-final playoff game.  Money and fancy can buy you "ooohs" and "ahhhs", but it can't buy you a home semi-final game.  And it certainly won't write UMHB a ticket to Salem any time soon.  ;)

Exactly, a forecast in the 40s is a welcome change to the Cardinals but the biggest problem is obviously trying to slow the game down and keep the Cru's offense off the field...

bleedpurple,

I never said the UMHB should host a semifinal game because of The CRUthedral, I only said it would be a great venue if The CRU ever earns the right to host. When UMHB does return to the Stagg Bowl, the stadium will have made a contribution. It does not hurt when recruits get a tour of the finest facility in D3. Of course, since you've never experienced The CRUthedral you will just have to take the word of those who have had the opportunity to visit.

By the way, FYI, the visiting teams players, administration and fans get treated royally.

Bored at work, so I decided to take a gander at the cumulative stats for the CRU this season.

UMHB scoring total: 592-148
Total offense: 5837
**All with an average of less than 30 minutes of possession per game.

25 picks for 518 yds
Our defensive backs have kicked it into high gear this season, and its payin off for them!

These numbers are ridiculous.
The penalty count and yards are a little discouraging, but I'll take it as long as the offense recoups the loss.

Here's the link to see it with your own eyes, so you can confirm what I said here.

hes trying to afford the Cru a false sense of hope in an attempt to thwart game prep. ITS A RUSE! A RUSE I TELL YOU! ;D
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

FA91,

It worked against JCU.  I'm riding the lucky horse until it dies.
