Tucked inside this weeks game notes for the UMHB-Kean game was something I could not believe. The 2015 UMHB football schedule is not only already confirmed, but it already posted to the website and features 7,yes 7, games at the Cruthedral!

No McMurry on the schedule, but we get Belhaven for the first time and start the year in Delaware.....,Ohio against Ohio Wesleyan.
I like the look of that loooong home stand to start the year (after Ohio Weslyan), and did you notice TLU is still on the schedule.

Lots of great things about the 2015 schedule. I am happy to see that TLU is coming to Belton, frankly I was surprised that they didn't want to come here during the first year of their stadium to save themselves a potential loss. Not trying to downplay TLU in that statement, I felt the same way about Wesley coming to town last year against us.

Another potentially good thing about the schedule is the off week is right before Hall Mumme's Blazers. I would assume the coaching staff will appreciate having an extra week to prepare for the air raid again. By the way did everyone see the piece about Mumme on ESPN.COM? http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/11547946/why-nick-saban-college-football-afraid-hal-mumme

They don't even give D3 credit for Coach Mumme's time at McMurry...

Five years ago, I told Coach Mumme my hope for him was to win 100 games at McMurry and a Stagg Bowl Championship before he was age 70.

Yeah I noticed the lack of D3 credit for his time at McMurry too, made me doubt some of the other stuff in the article.

The only thing I need to know about Mumme, and I know because I was there, is that he cried and took his kids off the field without shaking hands, a D3 tradition, after UMHB whooped them their last season in the ASC. I'll always remember our guys going to shake hands and Coach Mumme pulling his guys off the field and sending them to the locker room. Then we beat them in the playoffs, too!  ;D

Morrgen, FYi, TLU 's on campus stadium only seats about 3,000 in the stands, additional seating on the berms. So you may want to get there early.

I definitely plan on being there. I am interested to see what kind of crowd TLU will have for their games this year. They had their first game and had 3000+ people but haven't had a home game since.

I'll be there. Head coach's son was our first QB, and at least one other coach from UMHB is now a coach there also. Should be a fun time.

After observing a variety of comments, I have come to the conclusion that seating at Texas Lutheran seems to somewhat limited. As a result, I purchased tickets to the UMHB game on-line. The website indicates that tickets may be picked-up at Will Call, which will open 2 hours prior to kickoff. The gates will open 1 hour before kickoff. Since I will be driving 7 hours one way, I wanted to make sure we have seats for the game. You can purchase tickets at: https://secure.acceptiva.com/?cst=b80230 .

Looks like I keep picking up some smites. Interesting. If you are going to smite someone, at least talk about it.

Kelly, thanks for the info on the tickets. Good to know. Looks like my family and my parents will make the trip. Should be a good time.
