Definitely going to be interested in the outcome of the LC-Wesley game, Wesley folks seem to think this could be one of the better teams they have ever had which is saying something. If LC can hang with them on the road, that says a lot about them, could also say something about TLU who obviously just beat LC.

On another note for the UW-W/LAX game, I just have to say how thankful I am to live in Texas. Reason being I read on the WIAC board that the forecast is for temps to be in the 30's and 40's with a chance of snow or rain. Doesn't matter how many layers you have on, that cold plus wet is no fun!

Looks like I keep picking up some smites. Interesting. If you are going to smite someone, at least talk about it.

2001, I agree.  If you dont agree/like what is said, have the courage to argue it.  Dont smite and run.  +1.

This is exactly why I want the whole system scrapped.  It adds nothing to the board, really.

I'll probably go and watch HSU. I haven't seen the stadium up grades they started yet, and getting in free with my ID is always better than paying for admission.  ;D
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I don't even look at that stuff. I get on, read, respond, and get off.

I prefer the old system.  At least you knew what was considered a bad post.

Interested in the SRS game just cause that is our next opponent. Interested in TLU to see if Howard Payne is worth the Hype. TLU MAY look past them. Definitely want to see LC rep the ASC and bounce back from their blunder against TLU.

I'll be listening to LC on the radio since the Wildcats are my next favorite team after UMHB.

LC not making a game of it tells me they just don't have it this year. Not to be looked over, but UMHB should be fine.

TLU looks good upfront, but I think we are stronger and faster. HPU hasn't gotten any pressure on the QB and that is something UMHB does well. They've run the ball well, but I like our chances against the run. Our DB's getting healthy and playing SRS, LC, then TLU should be in good shape when we travel to Seguin.

Would like to see UWLaX do more against UWW.

I know it is a fools errand to compare scores, especially when there's not a direct correlation to a common opponent, but I couldn't resist. Consider the following, for what it is worth (which isn't much):

UMHB 73 Kean 7
Wesley 47 Southern Virginia 7
Kean 28 Southern Virginia 27
Wesley 56 LC 21
Texas Lutheran 38 LC 32

Hey, looks good to me. Ill take any comparisons. I'm sure Seguin is going to be rocking and it will play like a playoff game.

@d3jason

In fairness, the Wesley score at half was 47-7 against SVU. Callahan didn't play in the second half and the holding flags came flying out  after every big play in the second half. They could have hung a bigger number.

You'll get no argument from me about the Cru being the top team in the south right now. Wesley has grown up a lot on the offensive side of the ball since last year's game in Belton. They have also stayed healthy and are deeper as most their injuries last year occurred early enough to get redshirts.

LC has some talented receivers and capable QB, but needs to find a running game and stop turning the ball over. The defense is going have to get a lot better in the next two weeks and force some turnovers if they have any chance at staying in the game with UMHB.

Good insight and nice to know.

UMHB'S team last year was a great team that could have given MU a terrible run for their money in the Stagg. They were solid up front on both sides of the line, they had a workhorse of a RB, and they carried a load of confidence. The dropped ball at the end of that drive in the end zone in the 4th was tragic.

Through four games this year, questions on the OLine, a leader falls to a horrendous leg break or whatever  on the DLine  in the second game, our DB's are young, and our QB play we thought would be solid has been sketchy from the start, and no stallion in the backfield. Against a struggling Kean, we put together a solid yet imperfect game. Yeah, I know perfection is like grasping mist, but as near perfection can be, we've yet to really play an all around solid game.

This week's layoff could not have come at a better time. It's given our youngsters time to look back and learn, our leaders time to reflect and solidify their place, and our bumps and bruises a chance to Neal before the crucible closes. This halftime in our season was important, and like the third quarter that has been historically owned by the Cru, I expect big things in the third quarter of this season.

Should be an exciting time. Up with the Purple!
