Wow, a potential SECOND ROUND match up with Linfield for UMHB.

The selection committee hosed the Crusaders again.

I'm not a fan. It's because if we both win, we'll both be on an island in the bracket no matter who was in it. The South always gets the misfits. The NCAA wanted to save so much money this year, they threw two top contenders at each other before the quarters. On another note, it'll show what the CRU are made of on the national scale early and give a good check before UWW if we make it that far.

Yes--we (Linfield) gave the committee an easy out this year with our mind-boggling game fart against Willamette.....if we were undefeated I can't imagine they would have done this....actually....yes I can....we got shipped to Wesley in round 2 in 2011 despite being undefeated that year...

It does stink to have to potentially play Linfield, if we and they win, but we can blame Linfield for this. When they lost and feel to #4 in the West, it opened them up to be called a lower seeded team and sent to someone like us or UW-W.

Again we have to win the first round but getting to play Linfield at home will be fun, just imagine how awesome it will be if the Cru wins and has to go through Linfield, UW-W and Mount Union. We will go from the Road Warriors in 04 to the Revenge Tour 14.

Should be an interesting weekend coming.

MonCat, sorry to hear about Parker. Wouldn't wish that to anyone. Prayers for the Wildcat Nation.

That would be epic. But I'm sure a little ole school down south has a revenge tour of their own in mind.

I second this.  Very sad news.  My heart goes out to your team.  Hope we see you in a few weeks at the Cruthedral.  We can't look past TLU, though!

Go Cru!

Yes--it's been a bad week (off the field) for the NWC---Linfield Player (Parker Moore) stabbed to death last night, Willamette Player arrested on murder charges earlier in the week (not related to the Linfield player's stabbing obviously) and Lewis and Clark loses their coach (easily the most digestible of these storied but negative nonetheless)......

If The CRU and the Cats take care of business in the first round, Linfield will make a trip to The CRUthedral for a second round game. It will make for a stellar match-up up in the finest facility in D3.

First things first, UMHB must get focused and not show up foggy just because The CRU blew TLU out a few weeks back. The Bulldogs are going to want to have a better showing and they have nothing to lose.

Let's go CRU, leave no doubt!

Going to be a tough haul for the Cru to get to Salem, but one game at a time.  Interesting rematch setting up in Mount Union bracket in third round with a possible rematch against John Carroll.  Just have a gut feeling there could be some upsets by semi-final games.  Just hoping UMHB stays focused and is not the one.  Go CRU.

Ought to be a good atmosphere this Saturday playing against TLU.  Glad they got the recognition and are deserving.  Just want a rowdy and packed house.  Have to find out if they allow noise-makers such as cowbells in the stadium.  Kinda how I got my nickname.  Shaking 'em under the Friday Night Lights.  I get very vocal at games.  Just got to persuade the other Cru faithful to be as crazy as I am at games.  I normally sit on visitors side 30 yd line opposite end of scoreboard cause I got to have room.  Can't stay still  Go CRU

I believe noisemakers are banned from all playoff games (by the NCAA)

They are enough fans at The CRUthedral so that artificial noise makers aren't needed.  ;D

I sure do hope for a big turnout this weekend.  Right now they are predicting 68 for the high with 40% chance of t-storms.  Regardless, I'll be there with my family!  We haven't missed a home playoff game in years.

I am concerned The CRU's blow-out of TLU on October 25th might keep some fans home. I hope not. We need to be CRU-proud and CRU-loud to start the playoff run with a CRUbang!  8-)

It's a shame that two one of the best teams in the country will be going home after the second round just because the NCAA is too cheap to pay for the travel that would allow for FAIR pairings.
