Really looking forward to the Hardin-Simmons at TLU game tomorrow.  I am going to be in Seguin for the game.  Home opener for the Bulldogs and a big game for their season. Seems like a big game for HS too.

No doubt.  I'm sure both teams and their fans have this game circled.  I have the Bulldogs winning by a TD, but honestly, I can see it going either way.

He did look good and so did Zane Boles. Blake looks mediocre. I mean, he looks good, but not as advanced as I'd hoped he would look.

HSU stunning TLU is huge. October looms large for UMHB.

I figured the Cru would come out looking better than then did last week.  Aside from the dumb penalties, they played pretty well.  On to the next game!

I believe last evenings performance was the complete package together, the skill and talent was there, the spirit was there, and last night the leadership was there. Plays were tighter, movement was far smoother and with purpose. I think the leadership now knows their place and it is stepping up to the challenge. Zach looked so much smoother and in control, Yeah Blake was a little less effective but he did see more game time and I think the Cru rallied around him and he delivered. Zane looks just great for the future, as a freshman out there he was calm and collected like it was a sunday afternoon pick up game.
But what I did really notice...LOOK AT ALL THE FRESHMEN AND SOPHOMORES...man these kids are chomping at the bit to get it done and are getting it done, that has to be coming from the upperclassmen and leadership. TJ I think is getting into the swing of things at reciever, and I see big things coming from him transiting to WR.But the sophomores were on fire last night and the freshmen stepping into, for some their first game, did it well

So I watched a bunch of games over the weekend. Southwestern pulled off a squeaker over McMurry and won their first road game since I think they said the 60's. good for them...

Really loved watching St. Thomas and UW La Crosse, since the Cru are facing them next weekend thought I'd see their team for 2015. plus I like the St. Thomas broadcast and of course St. Thomas owned the game

Then I cought the George Fax - Redlands game - Since Redlands is my daughters adopted school we were ablidged to watch and it was a great game, with George Fox pulling off a win. Now GFU is not part of our spere of Influnce I understand but you have to love a 2nd year program out there taking on the establishment and rising to the occasion...

Agreed, it's always good to get out there and watch some other games. How did UW-LaCrosse look? I only watched the TLu HsU game and, wow!

After looking over their previous two games, it looks like their strength is passing, which will be good for our young DB's and secondary. I think our DLine will dominate again, as they have young players on the front line on Offense. Their QB had a great first week against a good opponent, but St. Thomas held him to under 100 yards. I imagine we'll do the same. They also went from 168 yds rushing to 38, so I see UMHB as handling them well, getting our 2's and 3's in the game for reps, and preparing for ASC play well. The next few weeks give us a great leadup to TLU and HSU.

Should be a lot of fun.

Hard to believe a team that lost 51-7 to anyone not named UW-W or Mount Union giving the Cru much of a game.

Agreed. St. Thomas is a good team in their own right, but I think that we hit a good notch last week and should continue our climb. I'm thinking a score in the range of 62-7 or so would be about right.
