When you said "any of the losses" I was pretty sure you were referring to the three UMHB has had vs. Linfield -- that's the only reason I commented, not because I thought anyone on the current team cared about 2009.

Correct. I was. But we can't focus on those things. We have to move forward. I think it is possible that those things have surfaced in the past, rendering us playing flat and unable to make correct calls at times. The boys need to focus on each play and not worry about ending the streak of losses.  Focus on being confident in what got you here.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Suggest none of you reflect back to 2009 and the last visit to Mac...

Score by Quarters     1  2  3  4   Score
-----------------    -- -- -- --   -----
Mary Hardin-Baylor.. 14  0  0  7  - 21
Linfield............         3 10 27 13 - 53

;D

Nobody cares about any of the losses. It's all about tomorrow.

Not sure that's true.

"First of all, just being this deep is great. We got cut short last year. It feels good to get back over there and have a chance to make up for last year," Anderson said. ... "I think the losses build character. I think they build a hunger and let you know you're not unbeatable, too. When we lost to Hardin-Simmons, I think it did for our younger guys what the playoff losses the past couple years did to the older guys. We understand we have to come to work if we want to reach that ultimate goal."

Fredenburg is confident in Anderson's ability to pull the lessons learned from the past two postseasons and apply them to Saturday's battle. "We're excited to be in this situation and to play Linfield again. It's nice to be playing football at this time of the year."

Ok, let me rephrase. The losses hold no bearing on the outcome of tomorrow's game.  Sure, one can learn from the past, but those losses mean nothing. UMHB doesn't need to think about those losses and worry, and Linfield shouldnt hang their hat on the wins and be overconfident.  The Cru just need to play their game. Zeroes on the board when the game starts. The game referenced was from 2009. Anderson spoke of last year's game.

I think you are right the losses hold no bearing on today's outcome from UMHB view....l am pretty sure from Linfields view the three wins also have zero bearing on today's match.

After a great start, UMHB is bending over backwards to give the game away in the second half.

Yep we are doing everything from stupid penalties to mistakes to give this one away. Better play to win in the 4th and not to lose.

umhbalum

Can't expect to win if you keep giving up 1st downs on 3rd and long.

Teamski

Wow. Sucks that UMHB (the better team) might lose a game simply because their center can't hike the ball.  I am really sorry guys......

I hate games decided by a stupid mistake.

Nobody to blame but ourselves. Wow

How many bad snaps today? I think it was a 35 yard turnover on the last one.

I love my Crusaders, but good heavens, that was one of the most epic choke jobs I've ever seen. No excuse for losing a 21-0 lead.

Closing out games like that is what separates programs that are great- like Mount Union, Whitewater, and Linfield- from programs that are still trying to be great, like UMHB..

Our center had trouble all year long - then Riddle is not as tall as Knecht.

The CRU had us where they wanted us.  I just don't know what it is they do to themselves.

Congrats to the seniors.
