Cool intro.

Forgot to note this. Belhaven will have one of largest video boards in D3 when the stadium opens on October 1 against ETBU. I'll be on campus this week, I'll try to snap some pics. The university hasn't put out a lot regarding the construction.

They put this video out there, but it doesnt show a ton.

Nice! Congratulations. Having a place to call home is so important. Have you seen Crusader Stadium?

gave up some rushing yards to the QB

Also, UMHB is still a little banged up. Kris Brown (Junior), a great cornerback, did not play but hopefully will return soon.

Many of those yards came late in the game. Once the team jumped ahead in the first five minutes, the level of play changed. I think this will be different this week and next.

Kris Brown did play. He had the pick-6 later in the game.

I missed Kris. Duty called in the latter part of the game. He wasn't listed on the 2-deep, so I assumed he wasn't going to play. My bad. I'm glad to know he's back in action.

I did say UMHB seemed to go a little flat (after going up 28-0 in the 1st quarter) & gave up some yards to the QB. Make no mistake, The CRU will be focused & ready not only for TLU, but for the following week as well.

Hey Ya'll I'd like to ask a question. I'm not a huge a goes to b and C guy but I looked at the top 25 poll and noticed UWW jumps up and Linfield drops.. but Linfield has not even taken the field yet. Wouldn't it be correct to hold their position until they get on the field? Seems like that program takes a hit before even breaking a sweat. I know all programs have byes, but in the season (I don't think) a team on a bye drops their ranking? or am I incorrect? Not belaboring the poll and all I just saw that and thought. man, that sucks, cannot even prove we (Linfields Point of view) are #2.

But if i'm in left field please let me know.

There's definitely no rule on that. Since it's an aggregate poll, it's just about the number of points accumulated. An individual voter can make any changes they want from week to week. I think during the season you will probably see teams both rise and fall during bye weeks. You will also see teams fall after winning a game.  If voters had a perception of UW-W and that perception was exceeded last Saturday, it may have been enough to move them up a notch or two on their ballot.

Both Linfield and UW-W gained one more first place vote in week one than they had in the pre-season poll. Linfield lost seven points overall. Mount lost two first place votes and two points overall. UW-W gained 14 points overall.  Another thing to remember is that the pre-season poll came out quite awhile ago. I think I read where Keith was even surprised by where he slotted a couple teams when he looked back at his preseason ballot this week. Opinions are still very formative this early in the season.

Final* non-conference game between these 2 teams before TLU re-joins the ASC next season.  I had circled this game before the season began, but with their loss last week, I don't know what to expect.  ETBU is the real deal, though, so I imagine this will still be a good game.

I agree with the bolded part for sure -- UWW definitely could have exceeded people's expectations.
