Teidrick was in a boot?

Coach Fred worried about backup QB play and Zane saw zero action again. Don't understand it.  >:(

Looking forward to next week.

I really think that if UMHB plays its game, ETBU stands absolutely no chance.  I know that this might provide some ammo for ETBU, but, honestly, it is what is is.  Now if UMHB shows up with the mentality that all they have to do is roll their helmet out there, than it will be upset city.  But if the team has a focused week and doesn't take their opponent lightly, they will win by 3 touchdowns.  Honestly, UMHB is that much better than ETBU.  Bank it....CRU just can't show up with an attitude other than "we are going to humble you and make you like it".

I don't think THIS Cru team will do that.  Being around the program since inception, I don't get the feel from this group that there is a sense of entitlement or greater than thou mentality.  The Linfield game being as it was, I believe that showed this team what focus and determination can do. All Coach Fred needs to do is remind the players of a Mississippi College loss, a CNU loss, a Southern Oregon Loss, or even the HSU loss last year.  The place will be loud and playoff atmosphere, so they will need to come in with grit and determination, and I believe that will happen.

Seating is limited and only on one side of the field, so if you are going, you probably want to arrive in time to get a seat. Also, per UMHB's last visit to ETBU two years ago, visitors are not allowed to purchase reserved tickets and must sit in the visitors section - and no I am not kidding. I don't know what will happen if we fill-up the limited seating in the visitors section.

Go CRU!

I'm sure you can bring a lawn chair and sit behind the end zone or maybe you can just sit on the hills we have beside the bleachers.  We can't all have GRAND Stadiums to play in!

As long as it doesnt rain ten inches before and during the game (insert eye roll here). Well scratch that....even if it rains I don't see the Cru having trouble in this one.   No doubt ETBU is on the upswing they are not at the Cru level just set.  JMHO.

Alot of hype for this game, and it is going to be a game on an away location, but to me, the true test for this Cru is HSU. I like ETBU's new coach and such, and they are a good side, but I've been watching HSU, and they are a quiet solid side. The Cru just have to take it one game at a time, focus on where we are now, not three games from now, which I think coach will do.
Thing is, I dig the 2016 Cru because with Blake in the seat I feel he brings that one part we were struggling with in past seasons. The HPU game, the second half was our two even three deep and it kinda bogged down, but previous quarters, the Defense was scoring more than the Offiense, and when Blake had the field, he was running the guys just fine.
I do voice a question why we are not seeing Zane Bolls in the line, perhaps coach wanted the freshmen to experience a game with no hand holding, perhaps ZB is injured, who knows, but it appears, at least at this point the Zane is not in the Offense at TE or QB.
I put up to Jon that they submit the tackle of our Baylor Mullens after his pic by our own player, I was crying laughing after that play.

yes Kelly I was one of those UMHB fans who was told to move. plenty of room but I was still told to move to the visitors area. Plus, there was some smack talk from the crowd towards a UMHB players father and mother who were, I guess sitting too far into the ETBU zone and cheering too loudly or enthusiastically (I guess). But, the classic was the Sorry Seniors sign UMHB fan/s held up. Sent a faculty staff into apoplectic rage.
Visitors were not very well received that day at least, there were a lot of us to be sure. We filled the zone.

Coach Walden also recently was the subject a pretty lengthy on Vice Sports. Great article on him, ETBU, and how it is all coming together.

Excellent article.

Great article on TLU's Danny Padron.  He indicates that this could be his last season.  What a job he and his staff have done in the time they have been there.  I hope the team plays with spirit and inspiration for the rest of this season in honor of their head coach and secures the final SCAC championship.  A good, humble, faithful coach who does it the right way and is doing it for the right reasons.  Good luck this week to TLU.

I'll be on the road again this weekend, but plan to keep my phone handy.  It should be a great game.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow , game of the week has to be the Cru vs ETBU.  Gotta take the Cru in this one, they are the kings till someone knocks them off the mountain.   I just hope it goes 57 overtimes and they are soooo exhausted it takes them a little more than eight days to recover.  Wink wink.

Certainly HSUDAD...and I certainly hope for a good day for HSU, but I hope there is not an inexplicable black hole that opens on the road from Abilene next week sending HSU's buses into a time warp sending them back in time for a week and then bringing them back to 2016 on Oct. 23rd (Don't wanna miss church) But..i'm sure that won't happen...
But i believe we both hope for a safe and competitive two weeks.
