So yeah I did some brainification and in looking at the travel requirements of the top 8 teams if they were to make the bowl (Distance, Access side goodies etc etc etc..., Virginia is not much more different than anywhere else, so travel restrictions being last minute reservations could be a factor and so it makes sense. I was just asking a hypothetical question, if you could, where would you think a great venue would be.
But it also comes down to Salem willing to bring the circus to town and other cities not all that enthused, so, they do it best so far..

Ooo boy, in a positive way...
Not necessarily, but don't leave us out.
I knew that was a list of the middle of the States.
Our point is we're 3,000 miles from EST.
The airfare is greater than any other region.
We would benefit from a middle of the road Stagg.
We MIGHT even go see a game if we weren't in it.

Show up at a non-Linfield semifinal in MN or WI if you want me to believe that story.

Lost in the fun on Friday Night, HPU names Braxton Harris their new head coach.

Former Cru guy and personal friend. I wish him all the best except for when he plays us.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Well, it's the time of year when most go into hibernation.  I'll still check the boards every once in a while.  It's been a heck of a season (especially for the Cru faithful).  Enjoy the Christmas holidays, everyone.

Thanks to The CRU, especially the seniors, for the incredible ride in 2016!

Back to the grind today.  On a more positive note, I acquired my first piece of National Championship apparel for Christmas.  It's a purple long sleeve T (I believe from W Promotions in Waco).  I also put in an order for a hoodie and the field cap from the campus bookstore.  Pretty excited to pick those up when they reopen after New Years.

Anyone else get some new gear?

Congratulations UMHB....I've watched the replay twice and it was a stellar perfomance by the CRU.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

I tried to look on the school website for 2 items.
Perhaps you posters can help.
A) when the team has a banquet and picks their MVP can someone post the recipient?
B) Eventually, when rings are purchased, a picture would be nice

Congrats to Zane Boles for his receiving the Elite 90 award for 2016.
Zane Boles, a sophomore tight end at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, is the recipient of the Elite 90 award for the 2016 NCAA Division III Football Championship.
Boles, a pre-physical therapy major from Henderson High School, currently carries a 4.00 GPA. Boles was presented with the award during the NCAA Banquet of Champions on Thursday night in Salem, Virginia.

The Elite 90, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships.

Congrats to Zane.  Smart kid.  Hope he's able to see more playing time next season.
