I'm not sure either team can score 30 on the other. I think 24-21 Cowboys. Yes D3FB is fun!!!!

So do you think ETBU's offense is that much better than UMHB's? I will admit to not watching the game but looking over the stats I see 1st team defense guys playing at least into the 4th quarter.

I think I can provide a decent explanation for why etbu was able to score 42 points last Saturday.

While our defense did struggle at times, I think the high score had a lot to do with how often our defense was on the field. When you're playing a team as bad as they are defensively, your offense doesn't stay on the field very long at all which leaves more snaps to your defense. We had multiple scoring drives under 2 minutes and almost all of our drives were under 3 minutes which is not the way we typically play. Playing against a terrible offense like HPU or LC, you can score as quickly as you'd like and they still have no chance of scoring on your defense but when you play a team that is a little more talented like etbu, leaving your defense on the field for that long can lead to a higher score for the opponent.

I think the score of that game means nothing for this Saturday as both teams will come into the game with a much different strategy than they usually do. Field position, ball control and special teams will have to be emphasized much more when you play a top 5 opponent. We wont be scoring in less than a minute and neither will mhb. This will be a more reasonable statistical game and both teams will, like they always do in this match up, get away from the video game numbers we're used to seeing from them.

34:23 to 25:37

These are the times of possession. Which belongs to ETBU and which belongs to HSU?
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

I cheated and peeked.  HSU had the ball for 34:23. Interesting... almost 9 minutes longer than ETBU. Good research, 2001. +k

I don't think ETBU offense is better than UMHB. Cmon!  I do recognize HSU was up all night on ETBU and played a very soft defense   I also recognize the 2's did have significant time in 2nd half. Also, don't underestimate the "pucker" factor.  I do think both teams will experience that to some degree based on previous matchups and what's on the line. Just my two cents. Safe travels and good luck to both teams   Hooyah Cowboys!!

Lol y'all aren't serious are you? Etbu ran 89 offensive plays vs HSU's 78. They run a hurry up air raid offense so obviously they'll lose TOP every week. Do y'all even watch football?

Hooyah Cowboys

For contrast, Linfield ran just 52 plays against mhb.

Hooyah,

It seems obvious we clearly did not fully understand the point you were trying to make. In your post you mention number of snaps and then later on you say, "leaving your defense on the field that long can lead to a higher score for the opponent."

It seems to me, given our responses, that we thought you were factoring in TOP, but given your reply you were not. So our bad for not fully understanding your post.

2 hours + till we learn what is going to be the outcome. For me.. this IS the game of the season right here. Both of these sides bring a lot to the table, only time will tell who is going to push back and walk away with the W.

At the least I hope for a safe game for both, safe as in no one is injured, I do hope for an amazing feats of athletic prowess to be sure.

After going way to deep into SOS and in game stats for UMHB and hsu, I don't buy the hype hsu is receiving. Maybe they prove me wrong, maybe they prove me right. I guess that's why the game is played! LOL
