Interview with Coach Fredenburg by local TV station: http://www.kwtx.com/content/sports/UMHBs-Pete-Fredenburg-returns-to-Cru-ready-to-get-to-work-490394221.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter_kwtxsports

I saw this and really enjoyed it. I hope the release of the findings by NCAA will happen soon so we can get this all behind us.

UMHB first day of practice: 225 players went through drills, 10 more expected to join the team in the next few days. Absent was Duane Thompson, it sounds like he will not be back after all. Noticeably present: KJ Miller (transfer from ETBU who was co-freshman of the year in the ASC last season).

Post practices interviews:

So KJ, is he a receiver and punt return specialist? Caught some game film of him from 2017 season. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/9724322/59fef60e02bc3413fc34c0e3

Wait a minute! UMHB has an outstanding coach - like Mount Union. UMHB has an outstanding program - like Mount Union. UMHB produces great teams - like Mount Union. Now you're saying UMHB has 225 people out for football - like Mount Union. Can't you guys do anything original?
I suppose you'll want to go back to the Stagg Bowl - like Mount Union.
Oh, what the hell. Go Cru! Go Raiders! ☠🏈😀

Gotcha! And thanks. I was just havin' fun with ya. Good luck to the Cru, although don't think they'll need it. ☠🏈😀

Three main QB's look to have the inside edge in Cru Camp. One is a sophomore, the other two are transfers: Poorman and a kid from Abilene Christian. Both are Jr.'s and both look pretty good. Will be interesting to see how the battle moves forward.

Does anybody really believe that there's an actual competition here?  I don't think there is.

Actually I could see it, here is why. History with Coach Fred shows that the Coach seems to like have a stable of QBs. The Zach Anderson/ Blake Jackson competition seemed to develop a very good Jackson and I do believe we would have seen more Jackson during that season had he not been injured. While you would think Luke may seem to have an inside line, and possibly so, I believe the idea of "staying on top of the hill" will help drive players from complacency.
On the other hand, too many chefs can spoil the broth comes to mind so it can be a difficult line to run and personally I like the idea of my main guy at the helm. But I don't make that decision, I don't make the big dollars to do that.
