Caught the Bracket Blitz and really enjoyed it! I'd like to see this more often, I know, regular season would be near impossible but who knows, anyway, really great job guys. Cru just did what was needed, nice, smooth, relaxing game, Berry came, and I hope the experience, while lopsided, I do really hope to see them take this and ramp up their future and hope to see them next year own the SAA.
I am a little concerned with our banged up QB Cru, but they will adjust. But what about Ryan Redding! The Kid can play, a good future Cru QB showed his prowess in the second. In the run mode the he reminded me of Blake Jackson, really nice to see the Future Cru developing. Next Season we still retain Jase and Luke, D'Narion is graduating this year so we will miss him, but Ryan could be slipping into the rotation (as far as we can see now) Things look very bright for 2019, and we are not even out of the play now.
So setting up for SJU, it's going to be another HSU situation, facing a quality side, just play our game, Dominate D, let our Special Teams work and O just has to produce, We'll see, it gets settled on Saturday!

It's definitely a different ball of wax in the regular season. In the postseason, we only have to ask the NCAA (and Turner, its rights-holder) for permission, while in the regular season we'd have to get signoff from each school whose home broadcast we'd want to use. Not impossible, but definitely a different thing logistically.

Glad you enjoyed it!

It's going to be a loooong week.  I can't wait for this game.  I reckon it's a one score contest.

Let's go Johnnies!

Nope

I don't see you losing by more than two, but I suppose you rarely face real competition so I can see your hesitation.  Still I reckon the Cru are better than you give them credit for.

so what's your over/under on points by St John's
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

It's 28 for both teams.  Within a score of each other right around 28.  If the offenses are running hot and the defenses are getting beat then we'll see the same result around 35.  No blowout unless one side gets a case of the fumbles.

Dominating performance for The Cru, today. I thought they showed some things that were taking a step, or two, forward from last week. Things I needed to see: 1. Taking shots across the middle, 2. Challenging deep, 3. 2nd and 3rd string QB's getting in.

In previous games, we hadn't seen much attack across the middle. First drive of the game, TJ across the middle. We also took some shots deep. I know St. John's and possibly UWW will have more secondary speed, but I doubt they have Aaron Sims and KJ Miller speed. Denarian looked pretty good throwing the ball. I think he showed some indecisiveness, but he did do a good job when the decisions were made quickly. And the 3rd string QB, wow. I really liked his decision making on the RPO. Great legs, and he threw a nice ball too.

Big matchup this next week. Watched much of the SJU game. They look good. Team speed will be the difference. Looking forward to it.

Finally, great job, Berry. Congrats on a great season. See you down the road.
Southern teams claiming their superior speed will lead them to victory; a tale as old as time.  Probably took 3 beatdowns from NDSU before Sam Houston State fans cooled their speedy jets.

Thank you for singing to us, Angela Lansbury!
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Come on man!  We have heard that "team speed" quote a lot too.  However any team that has been in the semis, in the finals, or won the Stagg six times in the last six years doesn't need to hear that condescending remark from anyone.   >:(

Oh I  don't have a lack of credit for our Cru, just a healthy sense of respect going into this last part of the bracket, been there with Mixed results, it's better to just keep ones powder dry until the time comes. Our history with UWW is not to our liking, I was there when we lost by 1 point......1...point....a 16-15 game...so a wary respect I think is due. I don't think we have any history with SJU so who knows, let Saturday be the crucible for the next bracket move for either side. just to reach this level of the bracket is a big deal for the Johnnies and I am interested how the Johnnies community is responding? I've seen the St. ... er... the other St. team you guys face, their football program is followed extremely well and when they came last season to the Cruthedral it was a good following for a traveling crowd. Do you see the same?

Tommies and Johnnies played in front of 37,000 last year and 1,148 of them were Tommie fans so I do think SJU will travel better than our Catholic brethren next week. Hopefully SJU can also enter the fourth tied like St. Thomas was, but with better ending. Tough to compare teams over seasons, but I'd say that Tommie team had better defense than this Johnnie team but this Johnnie team has superior offense to that Tommie one. For what that's worth. But obviously a different UMHB squad too.

Good deal and glad to hear that, this is a quiet time on campus, alot of peeps heading home for winter break but there should be a good crowd on hand. Well we will see what Saturday brings, good thing is, whichever moves on has earned it, a pretty tough slug to get here.

Hey now! Give us a little credit, I was there and we had AT LEAST 2k people there. Minimum.

The Berry game was probably a good game for the Cru in terms of the opportunity to play other players and stay relatively healthy going into what is likely to be a gauntlet of tight games...(hopefully, games).  I do think that Hardin-Simmons would have had a great chance to emerge from the other side had the bracket been structured that way.  HSU was head and shoulders above Berry and I think was at least as good as the upcoming Johnnie's and even Warhawks. But that's not even worth arguing.  It goes without saying that the Cru will need to play disciplined, fundamental football to keep moving forward.  Johnnies will present a very strong challenge.  This could be a very physical game.

If you think HSU is on the same level as UWW, then you shouldn't be operating heavy equipment.
