He has 4 years of eligibility remaining, and alongside Jefferson Fritz, would help form one of the best secondaries in the ASC, possibly the entire nation.

Could well be, but he's done nothing yet at the college level and he's got to get past Jayden Smith.  Just sayin...

Hopefully he is more a Jase Hammack transfer than some of the others. I'm not going to get too excited though. I did that last year with Caleb Eagans.

I saw that. I mean after next year Fritz will unfortunately be gone so that will free up some space at safety.

Did not expect Drake Johnson to transfer from UMHB after securing a starting spot at cornerback this spring. Maybe he is trying to reach the D2 or D1 level, that seems to be the most likely scenario, though it could have been for any numbers of reasons.

Can't really blame him.  He apparently had no D1 offers so he took his next best option in Belton.  He started fast (2 INT's in his first college game) and had a solid first year and spring.  Will he get a scholarship offer from a D1 program?  Don't know, but I suppose it could happen.  Or maybe he'll stay put if nothing materializes.  I wish him the best.

Stumbled across a former UMHB football player getting back into the game. Bryce Wilkerson is now playing for the Frisco Fighters in the Indoor Football League, same league Javicz Jones used to play for back in the day.

Seems like all there games are streamed via YouTube if you want to see him in action.

Also Reggie Cole seems to be doing good in the Spring League, his team is going to the championship next weekend which will be on Fox on Saturday at 3.

UMHB alum Blake Jackson has to be one of only a few players who have taken snaps in the CFL (preseason), NFL, XFL and The Spring League. He is currently set to make his CFL regular season debut on August 5 for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Confirmed: UMHB will bring back 10 of its 11 starters on offense, plus nearly all of the second-stringers as well. I have to think the Cru will pick up a couple of transfers as the summer progresses as well.

This was a great write up. Anyone 'in the know' have any idea when the defense version is coming out?

Your thoughts seem to have been correct. He just announced he has an offer from Texas State. Not sure if it is a scholarship offer or not, but to receive an offer from an FBS school is big.

Yeah, I will be writing the defense version over the weekend. It should come out first thing Monday morning. I'll post the link on this forum.

UMHB alum Reggie Cole was signed by the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats this evening. He is the second former UMHB player listed on a CFL roster headed into this season (Blake Jackson is the other).
