Interesting, looks like coach Thrash went with Coach Lee to ACU? Looks like the Cru have more openings than I thought.

ACU can pay a lot more than any D3 school, without a doubt.  Hard to resist that and the possibility to keep moving up in your career - plus Thrash coached there for four seasons.

I am in dire need of information related to writing either a medical hardship waiver or a Legislative Relief Waiver.  My son has 1 year of NCAA eligibility remaining but is out of semesters.  If anyone has some info or links they can send me I would really appreciate it.  We thought we were good but found out yesterday that he could not participate.

I will be posting this on several different boards so if you see this multiple times I am sorry.

Completely understand the nice sentiment of naming the stadium.
I am pretty sure the way it works now-a-days is Coach Fred locker room at Huge Donor Field at Oil Company Stadium.

JOKE JOKE JOKE
they could name a Subaru Dealer after him.

I seem to remember the huge donor saying that they didn't want their name on the field :D.
Huge donor insisted on it being Crusader Stadium, of course huge donor's name is on huge stadium 45 miles north
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Didn't that school 45 miles North change the name against Huge Donor's wishes? Or am I misremembering?

Far as I can remember he asked and they initially agreed to call it Baylor Stadium but eventually convinced him saying a named stadium essentially sounded better.

As for UMHB I say we go big time and start having multiple names for essentially the same thing. Crusader Stadium and Fredenberg Field sounds good to me.

Honestly, that always confused me.  I think Baylor has that with Mclane Stadium and John Eddie Williams Field.

Lots of schools do this. UF is actually Steve Spurrier Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium... but we all know it's The Swamp. FSU is Bobby Bowden Field at Doak S. Campbell Stadium. Auburn is Pat Dye Field at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Even basketball gets in the act... Coach K Court at Cameron Indoor Stadium for Duke comes to mind.

Even my own alma mater does this with Holekamp Gym and the Class of 1969 Doremus Gymnasium (two different stadium courts, one mainly for the DIII teams and one for the intramural and recreation leagues) inside the Richard L. Duchossois Athletic and Recreation Center.

I like Fredenburg Field at Crusader Stadium, and cannonizing coach fred as Patron Saint of the Cruthedral

UT does this too, it's Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium at Campbell-Williams Field.   Huge donor doesn't reach out to UMHB without the program Coach Fred created, naming the field after him would be a suitable honor.

And that is just the tip of the ice berg for UT, they have so many named things at the stadium I don't know how they keep it all straight.

Haven't seen an announcement of any kind but looks like UMHB is also losing o-line coach Bill Bleil based on his Twitter bio saying he is now with SFA. Both his sons work at SFA so Coach Bleil may have seen this as a great time to get to work with his sons with all the other changes happening here at UMHB. Safe to say the offense is going to look different next year for the Cru despite the large number of players that are supposed to be back.

Anyone hearing any names being thrown around for offensive and defensive coordinator at MHB? Looks like there are quite a few job openings for the Cru. Pretty sure they have a bunch of recruits coming in soon so it may be awkward with no coordinators on campus.
