Thanks Etchglow. Good to know. Down to Brockport, Rhodes, St John Fisher, St. Johns , and the two UW teams Eau Claire and Whitewater.

UMHB-UWW and SJU-SJF at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH would be such a cool D3 event.  I know it would never happen, but a "kickoff classic" kind of thing for D3 would be tremendous
As good as that looks on paper, UMHB already has two regular season match ups against likely top 10 teams (Muhlenberg, @ Hardin-Simmons), so I'm not sure if they want another brutal match up before their annual murderers row in the playoffs.

If Rhodes is interested in playing, that would seem to be a geographically manageable road trip, especially if they're willing to make the return trip to Belton next year.

Informed opinion or just a hunch?  ;D

St Johns was exciting last time we played. Pretty sure they already have a tough schedule so that probably won't happen. Looks like WW it is. Although St Johns Fisher really hated on us last time they were here so maybe we could bring the fight up there.

I still think Rhodes makes more sense. It would be a reasonable trip for fans to make against a pretty manageable opponent. Breaking in a new staff and scheme against Muhlenberg will be tough enough (not to mention HSU, likely on 9/24). A trip to St. Johns or WW could be biting off a bit too much so early in the season.

Rhodes lost by 35 to both BSC and Trinity last season so not sure they really would want to take on the defending national champs.  And if you're UMHB, you're scheduling a perennial sub-.500 team (last winning season, 2016 [6-4]) that won't do anything for the SOS in the very unlikely event you need to rely on it to get into the playoffs.

You can take Rhodes off the list. They are at Austin College week 2.

Any team, any place, any time!!  Love it.

Three perennial top 10 teams in the first 4 weeks!  Fairly smart way to do it since you have the last 6 weeks of the season to get healthy and evaluate other players, if needed.

Wow, that's an exciting schedule, but man what a brutal September. If UMHB can get through the first month unscathed, they should be the unanimous # 1 going into the playoffs.
