Some big missed opportunities for the Cru. Defense playing really well... Did they change the rule about artificial noisemakers in the playoffs?

Ya I was hearing what sounded like an airhorn. My guess is that was quickly confiscated, but guess we shall see.

Still hearing it and a lot of cowbell lol.

Oh I didn't know cowbells were in the same category. You'll hear cowbells all game from the Trinity sideline.

The UMHB penalty on the kickoff was FOOLISH!

UMHB recovered the next play.

Cru Def needs to make an adjustment in the 4th

Glad it turned into a great game. Good luck CRU! Bring it home for Texas.

UMHB03

That was an instant classic. It's criminal that teams in D3 have to be seeded according to geography rather than quality. These were two of the top 4-5 teams in the country and should be facing each other on December 10 for a trip to the Stagg Bowl, not trying to knock each other out in week 2.

Great game by both teams. Congratulations to Trinity on a great season. Let's Go Cru!

Great win for the Cru against a very good and scrappy Trinity team.

4th Q, 10 minutes left in McMinville. BU 30 Linfield 13.
Perhaps the CRU will have another home game.

Congratulations to Trinity for an excellent season, there is a lot of talent on that team and they are a real force to be reckoned with. Like others have said...it's too bad that the D3 playoffs have to be based on geography instead of a true seeding.

There was a noticeable change in the defense going into the the third quarter. The pressure behind Trinity's offensive line wasn't there in the second half compared to the first half. There were players that did a lot of work away from the limelight to allow their teammates to excel.

As far as the air horns and cowbells...according to the NCAA, artificial noise makers are not allowed during post season games. The whole idea of home field advantage is that fans and supporters will be able to show their support for their team and that should extend to the post season!

I'm happy that The Cru have moved on to the quarter finals and I hope that we get a huge crowd at the game and maybe everyone should bring cowbells and maybe an air horn or two since it appeared that artificial noise makers are okay to use during post season games!

We get to see Bethel's QB Jaran Roste next week.

Electric atmosphere today in San Antonio. Pretty much a packed house and made for a loud stadium and a big time atmosphere all game.. Rivalry renewed indeed! Congrats to Trinity on an excellent season & they have a really good & very physical football team, today was what playoff football is all about.

Now, as far as evaluating my own team's performance today; I think there were times in this game that UMHB looked like a national title caliber team.. I cannot help but feel like we allowed Trinity back into the game in the 4th QTR with safe offensive play calling.. credit to Trinity I don't want to take anything away from a good team but there's no reason we shouldn't be utilizing Brandon Jordan, KJ & co. late in the game..

With that being said I was very pleased with the way we looked for most of the game & I do believe The Playoff Cru is here and the switch has been flipped. Looking forward to a huge matchup in Belton next Saturday vs a Top 5 caliber Royals team.. I watched the game vs Linfield... their offensive line is absurdly good, great QB as well & some big time weapons. Will be the biggest challenge so far for our defense so we better bring the wood.

Thanx for the affirmation CruFrenzy. Many of us will be left behind in MN watching on the stream while our team gets to play in the Cru-thedral and cheering on BU as they represent the MIAC in the quarter-finals this year.

In a fortuitous turn of events, I was already flying into Austin Saturday night for work. I moved my flight up to Friday night. Trying to decide if I drive up to Benton late Friday or early Saturday. Open to any and all suggestions on places to stay and eat while I'm down your way. Looking forward to seeing the stadium in person after merely driving past on a work trip down to Waco/Austin earlier this fall.
