Did last year's near debacle not spark any rule changes ? If not I might almost being feeling sorry for the cowboys at the moment

For those who haven't read the scores just yet:

Sully over ETBU, 17-16.

A lot of folks are going to blame the missed PAT for the loss (but I swear it wasn't the kicker's fault, I saw a hand on it, blame the upback), but Sully was first and less than 10 on three occasions, and only managed to put up 3 points for those three series combined.  The score wasn't quite as indicative of the game's real ebb and flow.

If anything, the Sul Ross coaches may have been too conservative, trying to coast two quarters on a ten-point lead.

Whatever the reality, it's an upset for the Tigers.

That should have put me ahead a game on the pick em.  I called for this upset!

It looks like UMHB went back to doing what has made them so good in the past:  Great defense and pound the ball with the running game.  Congratulations Cru.

Josh Kubiak played like an All American last night.  2 INTs, broke up a pass in the endzone with a hard hit and made 2 tackles in the backfield.  He is the best safety I have seen.

Weak Safety

I didn't get to listen to the non-game between HSU and LC.  Who scored for HSU?  How did LC score their 12?  Not that it matters, but just curious.

Carrillo scored on a TD pass, Q scored on a run and Greene scored 2 Td's.  I can't remember how they scored.  I want to say that they broke a long one on us (running) but I just can't remember.

Great.  Thanks for the info.  It's frustrating that the Cowboys weren't able to finish the game.

I know.  I sat at the computer listening to the Old Stlye Christian Music that the webcast was playing.  Not that I don't like Christian Music but that was a little too old school for me.  Anyway I waited and waited only to be dissapointed.  There were some other good games on and I was keeping up with them on the discussion board, so it wasn't too bad.

I can't wait for this weeks game.  We will find out how good MC really is.

Bill McCabe

I don't know how good MC really is, but they have won as many games this year as they did in 2004 and 2005 combined.  They have to be excited about their prospects this year.
