This is the first time in "forever" that McM doesn't play UMHB after the Abilene City Championship game, so I really don't know what to anticipate for a score.

But, the team has played good, representative ball that has gotten better with each game.  The team that McM fielded in Clinton was a good one, and the Chocs came back in the 4th quarter to take a game that rocked back and forth all night.

I don't think that HSU looks past the Choctaws.  They just got out of Clinton with a "W", and not much else, in last year's "Hurricane Rita" game.

well i dont know how good they are either but do not take them for granted then i might have to pull a tlugrad and dissappear for a week and just say work has got me all busy!! ;D

Coach K will have them ready, he always does.

GO COWBOYS, GET A CHOCTAW!!!

HSU-MC should tell us a lot about the conference race.  I expect HSU to win the game.

I expect HSU to win convincingly.

Does MC wear white jerseys at home?

I am having this feeling in my stomach about this weeks game.  Dont get me wrong I think HSU is going to win but some people are saying big and handily and using these words.

Couple weeks ago I went to El Paso and all the Tech fans were saying Tech by 5 or 6 TD's and I knew going in UTEP was better than that.  I think Mississippi is better than people are expecting, should be an outstanding game this weekend.

Go Cowboys!! PIB/EAD, for tha Kids!!!!!

I don't think the Cowboys overlook MC.  One game at a time.  But, I think after last week's cancelation the Cowboys will be ready to hand it to whoever comes to town.  Sort of like UMHB playing after that loss in NC.  I would have hated for the Cowboys to have been up next on their schedule.

This should be a good gage of how good of a team MC has.  Seperation Saturday again -- similiar to the UMHB and TLU game last week.

I think a big win by HSU may mean the conference is not so balanced after all.

Ron Boerger

Well, it would mean that we have to wait and see what UMHB can do against them, anyway.

Yes that is a headline game for sure.

With the recent history of the conference I would say once one of the big two (HSU & UMHB) are defeated then you have a contender on your hands.

Very much like last year with HPU.  These guys are still in a battle for this year's championship although there has not been much talk on the board about them.    If MC plays close with the Cowboys or defeats the Cowboys then UMHB, TLU and HPU will be in for some games.  It is still early in the season.

Remember HSU soundly beat both Stevens Point and Linfield.

I'm very excited to see this game this weekend.

Bill McCabe

Zmotion, I agree with you if MC beats HSU or UMHB.  From what I have seen, read and heard, I think we still have the big 2.  That doesn't mean that others are not greatly improved, however.
