Makes it very interesting how everything plays out from here.

CRU CRUSADERS CRU CRU CRUSADERS. Great job by the UMHB defense in the 2nd half the goal line stand and blocked field goal turning point of the game.

The secondary held Neal to 6-18 and 3 ints in the 2nd half after 11-12 in the first half

They just announced the Texas Lutheran/HPU final on CBS, it sounds like one of the CBS announcers attended Texas Lutheran?

Ralph Turner

Verne Lundquist, a veteran announcer for CBS, is a Texas Lutheran grad!

You will recognize Verne's voice at the Master's, the Olympics, and college and Pro football.  He can do any sport you want him to do.

Verne was the radio voice of the Dallas Cowboys in the 1970's, so sometimes you will hear his voice on NFL Films Classics.

I guess he is my favorite all-sport announcer.

With Verne in the booth, it is all about the event that he is broadcasting.  It is not about him.

Interesting stats to me

1. The Crusader Defense has not given up a rushing touchdown all year
2. They have out scored the opposition 90-20 in the 2nd half this year

Those are 2 pretty impressive team stats thru 5 games

minni -- the right BBQ sauce can make just about anything taste better. I have even tried it on both coon and possum (hey, they had both been on the road for a couple of days and I figured nobody else wanted it ;)). Not bad.
Crow, however, always goes down hard and dry. No way to make it taste better. A win in a rematch would wash the bad taste away, however -- like UMHB found in 2004.
HSU is still -- and always will be -- my team.
Go, Cowboys!
Not really a bad dog. Just misunderstood!

UMHB team and fans -- Congratulations on a great comeback.

UMHB players and coaches:  Congratulations on the win.  Great adjustments in the second half.  Good clean game played by both sides.

Couch Cru:  I've got a question.  Against Wesley and Christopher Newport, did you guys shout "Underrated!"?  Just curious.  Oh and I almost forgot, don't want to be rude and ignore you guys.  You told us "hey hey hey, goodbye".  Goodbye for now.  See ya in the playoffs!

Win out Cowboys!  It won't be easy!

That was definitely a great game in Belton today.  I was glad that I made it down there.  The UMHB defense is back to stellar form.  The turnovers and overall pressure on the quarterback were great.  The UMHB offense made some significant strides particularly in the second half.  The Oline is young, but seems to be learning very quickly.  Welch is doing a great job leading the offense.  This game was important particularly for the offense; it was necessary to gain both confidence and midseason experience against a very good football team in Hardin-Simmons.  Hopefully both teams will win out and get into the playoffs.  UMHB should take it one game at a time, but I will say that this win makes the Oct. 28 meeting against #2 Whitewater a very interesting game.  Great game to both teams. I also agree with minni.   I will continue to support my team through the good and the bad. Hopefully the good will continue  :)

The UMHB defense is incredibly fast.  Kubiak and Freeman may be the 2 best players in the conference.  HSU couldn't handle the speed of the UMHB defense.  The kicking game was big in favor of UMHB.  Great game by 2 very good teams.
