Go Purple CRUsh, stay focused on MC and tune-up for #2 next week.

And LC, put the loss to UMHB behind you and bounce back with a win against ETBU.

Everyone have a great game day!

GO UMHB!!  PURPLE CRUSH your opponents today!!I feel a game of titanic proportioins coming on for next week between two of the great purple people eaters of the land!!   I surely wish I could be there to see it.  2 of my favorites going at it for playoff spots, team honor and bragging rights.  I have seen both of them play in the Stagg Bowl and they are both worthy teams.  I will be on pins and needles.  But first, get this job done today in high fashion!!  Sending e-brownies (your choice of flavor--for good luck!

I think UMHB needs one more ASC win to clinch the conference and secure the Pool A bid.  Huge game next week between HSU and SRU and possible Pool C.

Good win CRU. Now with MC out of the way we can begin to anticipate the BIG game between #2 and #6.

It seems as if Beaver-less UWW went to the air today more than usual. However, a poster on the Wisconsin board speculated it was because UWP has a poor pass defense.

The Purple CRUsh needs to be focused and ready to go next week. The game in Belton should be interesting, intense and entertaining. I can hardly wait.

It was good to see that Andy Padron has been getting some playing time in the last two UMHB games.  For those who did not know he was injured for much of the early season games.  It is good that UMHB has an experienced and capable backup at QB again.

Will you be at the huge game  next week?  I think that is definitely going to be one of the biggest games of the season!!  I like both teams having met fans of both at the Stagg Bowl.  Stone Station has started planning the activities for this year's edition of our tailgate for the Stagg Bowl.  BC is very doubtful to be in the playoffs as they lost their 2nd consecutive game today.   :'( :'( They haven't looked good the last 2 weeks.  It might just be dawning on people just how bad we miss the guys who graduated last year.  Today was terrible, and that's the best I can say about it.  E-brownies to you for the win today!! ;D ;D

Lets get it started all ready a, who would have thought in August, play-off match-up with SRSU vs. HSU and a game that any D3 fan has been looking foward to UMHB vs Whitewater. Let's get the predictions and discussions going. I think that HSU wins and I have a feeling it is going to be big just to much big game experience for the Cowboys nothing against Sul Ross. I just think it is close until half way through the 2nd qtr then Neal pulls the Cowboys away. As for one of the marque (sp?) match-ups of the season, Whitewater at UMHB, I would have loved to have seen Justin Beaver vs. Josh Kubiak, Jerrell Freeman, and the Crusader rush defense, but you still get to see a great rushing team vs a great rush defense. I just think that a good defense beats a good offense but then again I thought that last year and Welsey through a wrench in that theory. This year though I think the Cru is a little better than the team that played against Welsey so I am going to say Crusaders 28 Whitewater 17. What are some other opinions?

Billybaroo - My 2 cents.  As you say, UWW still has a good rush offense with/without Beaver, but let's not forget they can air it out when needed, too (prime example 6 TD passes today).  And, oh, by the way, the WW defense has some big play guys, too, up front. The secondary can be a little suspect and give up a big play now and then, but no one has been able to run on them all year.  Looks to be a classic in the making.  Finally, (though comparing teams from different seasons is like walking blind in a mine field), since you brought up last years Wesley team, considering what the Warhawks did to Wesley in the semi's last year, maybe you don't want to compare this years UMHB squad to that team.  Frankly speaking, they didn't come to play in their biggest game of the year and were totally manhandled in every phase of the game.  I feel a UMHB team that is a little better in your opinion than the team that played (and lost) to Wesley last year won't be enough to spring an upset.  Warhawks leave Texas with a win.

Bobo, we had this same discussion about the UMHB defense when they played HSU.  A lot of people underestimated them.  The speed is incredible and I would say this defense is a LOT better than the one that played Wesley.  Two new corners that are very fast.  Barcek brings experience and lock down coverage.  Should be a great game.  I'm sorry we won't get to see Beaver play.  That would have made a great match up even better.  I hope he is recovering well.

The Cru defense is the best I have seen by far in a long time.

I can't wait to see the homecoming game here at HSU next saturday.  I'm anxious to see what this new SRSU team is all about.  Hopefully the Cowboys can cut down on the penalties.

Hope your secondary's up to being tested. This poster's take is Whitewater in a tight one, 31-28.

Their secondary already has been tested by HSU.  They passed the test holding the Cowboys to 16 points.
