Well I had to to hear about the game through text messages since I was coaching a play-off game sounds like I missed a good one. I will have to do it again this Saturday since we won and will be playing Saturday at 2 again. I wish good luck to the Cru and congrats to HSU on a great season. Cru take care of business so we can get another shot at Welsey we owe them one.

Yesterday UMHB started 1 senior on offense and 4 on defense.  In fact, they didn't list one senior in the offensive line.   The experience of a deep playoff run this year should really help next year.  Each week they stay in the playoffs is extra practice for all the team members and helps with the experience of the starters.  The future looks bright for the Cru.

very good article, suprised to read that Jordan Neal finished with no playoff victories. no matter what he was a great QB and I will be glad to not have to see him again when the Cru plays HSU next season.

HSU started 7 seniors on offense and 7 on defense, including 3 DBs.  Jordan Neal will be a tough act to follow.  I'm sure HSU will reload and be right at the top of the ASC next season.

You know eventually HSU and there fans will run out of excuses. I hated that the refs made the call. I wish they would just givent he timeout to HSU and let the game go on. I knew as soon as it happended that it would be HSU's excuse for the loss. In the last 5 years UMHB is 6-1 against HSU. There has been some close games, and there's been some not so close games. However, yall always have some bogus excuse. In 2002 we blew yall out with are second team QB but yall were still better than us. In 2003 it was the all-american tight end who fumbled but didn't fumble. In 2004 game 1 yall manhandled us and were by far the better team that day. In 2004 game 2, the bye and a week of rainy practices caused yall to lose big. Even though Josh Kubiak had a field day. Last year it was because Jordan Neal didn't play. This year game 1 it was because Jordan Neal played, this year game 2 it was because of the penalty. I mean eventually someone needs to realize that excuses arent' going to win the UMHB vs. HSU game.  I guess " Back to the Basics" didn't work this year. Maybe next year, it can be "Focus on Officaiating". Maybe yall can win then.  Eventually excuse start to get really old. Some people just need to step up and admit that UMHB is better than HSU. Good luck this week against W&J, stay focused during the Holidays and dont' be playing around at practice on thanksgiving or coach Robinson might throw his hat, which is never a good way to end practice. LOL

professor's what?  And you're right, there is still typos.

Wow, some people need to stop making excuses for why their posts are full of mistakes and just admit they are not very intelligent.

Wait, maybe you didn't understand.  Let me put it another way.  Wow, some people need to stop making excuses for why there posts is full of mistakes and just admit their not very intelligent.

First it was waking up at 3 in the morning.  Next it was working 13 hour shifts.

It doesn't matter if I can't spell or even read. My teams playing next week and yours isn't. That's all that matters to me in this forum. I will save my good grammar for my research paper.

Back to football!

Most people agree that it is a shame that UMHB and HSU had to play in the first round because both teams earned the right to open up the playoffs at home against lower seeded opponents.

After watching the game yesterday, another angle on the issue popped into my mind.  Injuries can happen in any game, but when these two teams strap it on you can count on a high intensity, physical game.   There were several players on both teams that were banged up over the course of the game.  I lost count of how many players had to leave the game to get blood covered up.  I can't help but wonder if UMHB would have escaped the game with fewer injuries if they played a different opponent.  Somebody said the Texas teams always have to beat each other up in the first round.  We really do beat each other up!  Speedy recovery to all injured players on both sides!
