I know for a fact that Wesleys head coach is a classless prick!  You can try and defend him all you want, but he and the rest of his team showed their true colors.
Let's look at the facts here...  Coach Drass has worked for Wesley College for 14 years.  In that time, he has developed a solid football program with out any facilities until they gave him the new field.  He has been promoted to Associate Athletic Director, then to THE Athletic Director.  He fields an impressive win-loss record to say the least.  What's my point??  Success like that is not built by a guy who cusses out opposing teams and makes an ass of himself.  What are you thinking??  Next, you'll tell us that you saw a picture of a young Coach Drass behind the grassy knoll.

dedragon,

just know he is not the typical ASC poster!!

On another note:  some of you may not follow the basketball board but the HSU men beat the McMurry men last night in dramatic fashion 64-63 at the buzzer.  HSU 9 down with 1:40 to go comes back to make a three with .09 seconds on the clock.

No doubt!!  Everything I have personally seen from the two Texas programs I have come into contact with has been nothing short of perfection.  Both Trinity, and especially UMHB have been gracious, and professional.  Both are banner programs for D3.  It is just a pain to see someone come on a board and spew unwarranted hate, apparently just to make themselves feel better.

Bill McCabe

Almost everyone I have met in D3 have been gracious, both fans, players and coaches.  Can you imagine a D1 game where the fans and parents come down on the field after the game and mingle with one another!  I always stay to the end because I enjoy that so much.  The teams are all intermingled on the field and I've never seen one incident of bad sportsmanship.

TX2OK

Its a shame that people who dont really know what goes on think they have all the answers.

I love the D3 atmosphere.  Players play for a true love of the game.  There are very few problems in D3 that the Division 1 programs have to deal with on a daily basis.  D3 has a very unique quality that I hold in the highest.

Grassy knoll? Are you serious?

The man is an ass!

Bill McCabe

Congratulations to Jordan Neal for being named 1 of the regional Gagliardi Award finalist.  I'm hoping he will win the award.

Sure i'm serious.  That is how absurd you are sounding.

Ok, let's start with you stating some facts.  Exactly who was Coach Drass yelling at.  What point of the game was it.  What was the situation.  Can you shed some light on it or are you just going to continue to rant about something you have no idea about.

If you have something to substantiate your accusations, we would all love to hear them.  If all you have is, he said, she said, then back it down.

It's nice to see such wonderful language and attitude coming from someone who graduated from a private christian university.  TX2OK thanks for making our schools look great.

Ralph Turner

TX2OK, we haven't met.  My name is Ralph Turner, of course, and I am a 1974 McMurry grad.  I played football in high school, but walked onto the Cross Country/ track teams at McMurry back when they were in the Lone Star Conference.  I sustained an injury after the Cross country season and then worked on keeping my academic scholarship GPA requirements.  I have been a "real McMurry fan" since late 1999, when the internet made it possible to get decent media coverage of things happening in Abilene, while I am living in Dallas.

I have emailed, phoned or met in person or on these message boards a large number of the regulars on these ASC boards.  Please tell me about you.

Pat Coleman

Can't be too many Crusader alumni at Oklahoma State. Should be easy for someone else with more knowledge of UMHB to figure out.

Congrats to Josh Kubiak on making the Atzec Bowl roster, too bad his injury will keep him from even getting to make the trip. But he had an amazing career at UMHB and will be very hard to replace.

Is he the player hurt in the Wesley game?  What was the damage?
He is one heck of a hitter??
Football !!! The ultimate team sport. Anyone who plays DIII football is a winner...

crufootball

Yeah he was the player that was hurt at the game, I am not sure the the exact injury but the UMHB website said that because of his "severe knee injury" he will not be able to play.

Also, I was wondering how many posters were at the Wesley game? I was going to post before leaving for the game to possibly meet some of yall, but lost track of time. If you were there I am sure you saw me in the vistors section, because I was the only one  with body paint covering a large percentage of my body.

Bill McCabe

I'm sorry to hear Josh sustained a severe knee injury.  We will keep him in our prayers for a speedy and complete recovery.  I enjoyed watching him play all 4 years.  I will never forget the first time I saw him in a scrimmage as a freshman.  His speed was incredible as he ran down players all over the field.  Good luck Josh.

CruAlum39

Just wanted to see if any of you posters were planning on making it out to the Stagg Bowl.  roocru and I have our tickets and are ready to go!!!  Sure wish I was watching UMHB that day, but it ought to make for a great experience once again. (except this time it will be from the stands).   :(
YOU KNOW IT!!!!
