Here's an article that agrees that there's at least one Division I team that #3 UMHB should beat.    ;)

Ron, someone has a good sense of humor.  One question though, how can  Michigan be ranked in the top 10 if they are 0-2?  Doesn't quality of wins figure in here somewhere?   ::)

We know it's not Pat's poll, that's for sure!

EDIT:  They apparently did use the D3Football.com poll for inspiration as The Onion put Michigan between #6 UW-LaX and #7 Wesley.

I just logged on today and was regaled by the postings.   ;D

Josh, you are being a good boy this year and I might lose my bet with you.  Or might not, it is only week 3. ;)

Poor Michigan  :'(

Ah,  the impetuousness of youth  :)

Looking forward to the AC/Millsaps game on Saturday.  I am hoping for a good showing by my Roos.  I think it will be a good test to see where the program is right now.  A win would be outstanding, a close loss would be encouraging and a lopsided loss would be a disappointment.  I think that sums up my outlook on the team this year.
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

CNU 85,

I played with Rob Rod in the Aztec Bowl this last year, and I can tell you that he is one of the fastest guys Ive ever seen.  Whatever team he is on will do well.

I may be mistaken. but I think you have to have about 500 posts before the smiting and applauding can begin.  Before the new system was in place, the drive by's were ridiculous.
And I am smitten by your progeny, umhb8904!  +1   ;)

since you played with him, you know in addition to being a pretty good ball player, he's a really good guy. I've never met him personally (wish I had), but I've followed him for 4 years and hear noting but good things about the young man.

Oh - and congrats for being selected to the aztec bowl. You have to be good to make that team!

Ralph,
It would be entirely incorrect for you to assume that I had a UMHB english professor.
However, thanks for my 1st bonus point. ;)

Okay, it will be our secret...

Mrs. Long was my English prof at UMHB. I took as many classes from her as possible. She was wonderful. Of course, she has long since retired and most of the UMHB alums currently posting did not have an opportunity to know her.

FWIW: My sister-in-law is a current math prof at UMHB. She has taught for the past few years.

While this has nothing at all to do with football, it does fit into the kinder-gentler conversation that is the current tone of the forum  :).

Bring on the games and let's talk some smack!
