Great video Ralph, I hadn't seen that before. I wish I could see the game tomorrow, that is going to be a good one. Is it possible to listen in on the Hardin-Simmons web site?

Well, CRUALUM39
every dog has its day. Seems ETBU had thier's too that day. I don't foresee another one anytime soon for the Tigers.
Maybe not against UMHB, but the final score against McM today is ETBU 19, McM 12.  We didn't get any points after the first quarter, and what killed us was two touchdown runs called back on penalties and a non-existent kicking game.  If either of our PATs had succeeded, there would have been no 12-12 tie calling for overtime -- not to mention intended punt that we hiked over the head of the punter on 4th down and into our endzone for a safety.

Yes, true believers, it was that bad.

On the bright side, Keith and I are about to go to Joe Allen's for dinner.   :P

With Trinity losing today, it looks like we won't have the dreaded Texas sub-regional.   ;D

Josh, it seemed like the fake punt late in the 2nd quarter was a huge play.  HSU had the momentum and were going to get the ball in good field position.

Big win keep dominating Cru.  8)

Oh so frustrating today in Abilene.

After the first TD, McMurry had a bad snap on the PAT.  Attempt no good.

After the second TD, McMurry had a PAT blocked (low trajectory).

In the second quarter, McMurry had a TD pass called back for holding.

At the end of the second quarter, McMurry had a TD run from punt formation called back for holding.

In the fourth quarter, leading 12-10, a bad snap in punt formation goes over the punter's head and out of the end zone for a safety which ties the score.

Change anyone of those five plays and the game does not go to OT and McMurry wins!

Sorry to hear it Ralph. I was hoping for a McM win.

Great game in Abilene today for the Cru!! The score could of easily been alot worse. I can't wait to find out if the punt that was "muffed" was actually touched by a Cru player. It didn't look like it to me. The tape will tell i'm sure. Great game Cru!!!

A note on HSU: The atmosphere today in Abilene was not at all what it used to be. Whenever I played in Abilene the crowd was loud, coach crew was load, and the overall atmosphere at Shelton was a little intimidating. Today it was very very very weak. Stands were empty before the game. Never really became even somewhat filled. I think UMHB had more fans there than they did and "Fall Break" is next week for UMHB so alot of people went home for the weekend.  People started leaving at the end of the 3rd quarter. I didn't hear a single word of trash talk from any HSU fans. Throughout the game they were all very quiet. Even whenever they were within 10 points, the crowd was dead. The overall atmosphere was more like something you see at a struggling programs field. Definately not HSU caliber. Same with the HSU team. Never really seemed to get as "hype" as what I remember. I hope the best for HSU, I would hate to see them start to go down hill as a program just because of a 2-3 start. They are definatley not the HSU from the past. Good luck to them in the future.
Walking on thin ice cuz someone lost......again.

Just back from Abilene, what a great game!
Seven hours on the road, sixty dollars in fuel and well worth every minute and cent
to see the Cru totally dominate.

PINEVILLE, La. – The expected shootout between Louisiana College and Mississippi College was seemingly becoming a blowout in favor of the Choctaws until the fourth quarter. In the last quarter, LC, trailing 35-6 entering the quarter, made a furious comeback attempt that came up eight points shy as the Wildcats lost to MC, 42-34.  The game featured a total of nine sacks, six by MC, and 802 yards of combined offense.
