The story of the game is in the stats below.    Even if you win the overall statistical battle, you cannot have five turnovers and too many key penalties and expect to win.  UWW did what a good team does and took advantage of UMHB's mistakes and had no turnovers of their own. 

Three of those five turnovers were in the first quarter to put UMHB in an unenviable position.  There is nothing wrong with throwing the ball away if you are being harrassed.  Both fumbles were not a result of being tackled.  It would be interesting to know what UWW was doing with their snap count to cause so many offsides penalties.


Time to wash this one away, win the conference and get ready to play some playoff games on the road.

In the Update board you said, "I am sorry, but we have not made an adjustment on those short passes. They have been open all day long. They are killing us. Just killing us. Their third down conversion rate must be tremendous today."

The stats above show UMHB did better in third down conversions than UWW.  The only place in the stats we lost were passing yards (which we usually do), red zone conversions (barely), turnovers, and penalties.

Trasher and daniels combined for 118 yards rushing and Beaver had 77 total.  I guess what I am saying is today was not our day but if anyone thinks we got our butts kicked, they need to look at the whole picture.  I am confident the Cru will rebound.  They just made it a little harder again.  The 2004 team had the same thing happen to them and they were able to do it.

Welsey forced 5 fumbles today and intercepted 3 passes. Salisbury got 200 of their yrds on 3 plays today, 2 of which db's missed tackles. Wesley hit harder and is the better team. Salisbury whooping during the senior day introductions was classless

Wesley did noit pick off a jump ball in the end zone !!!! IT was a despersation pass that was played perfectly by the defender and the Reciever had no chance of catching it.... Wesley forced 5 fumbles and intercept three passes today and beat down Salisbury
